I did not give up and finally got started.
Okay, well, I almost did give up to be honest. 
So anyway, here is my little story:
Back in mid-December after doing a bit of not so good keyword research, I finally found a product that has decent sales and instead of going for wordpress with eBay and Amazon plugin, I started up an ecommerce site and thought I would easily get dropshippers and create multiple sites like this.
After a lot of hard work on getting the site ready (ecommerce script are a mess), I was ready to send out emails, sent a few and after a few days ended up with 0 replies. I thought this was a bad idea and gave up on the site (I know, very stupid and a very bad attitude).
Yesterday I saw that this site is well seo'd etc. and already ranks well on search engines. With some more effort, I might be able to hit the first spot. I thought of changing the site to wordpress and using plugins etc. but wanted to give this a last shot. So I created a email again, this time I wrote it in a way that it was hard to resist and with only 2 emails sent, I already have someone who could take care of all the products needed. I'm ready to get started and with some more effort I should be able to bring in decent sales.
Now, this isn't going to make me a fortune, my keyword research had some flaws so make this even less but its not really about the money. It gives out a great message: Don't give up, stay focused on whatever you're doing. If you think this will work, it most likely will - if it doesn't, you're doing something wrong. Learn from your mistakes and come out again with better experience.
