Printing e-books - on-demand

Hello!

I was wondering...

What/where is the best way to get your e-book printed and sent out to the customer. Is it possible to get it on-sale print kind of like how Kunaki the CD/DVD producing company does it?

I've seen a lot of online printing services, but the seem to be VERY expensive/book and I have to order a certain amount and have them shipped to my house.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
David

The only self-publishing company that I know of is Self Publishing - Lulu.com which offers you different size/paper weight/etc options and prices.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions. They have good black and white prices, but the color seems to really get expensive, do most people who sell physical copies of their ebook sell it in black and white?

Yes, definitely. Most of us are accustomed to reading completely black and white books without complaint or indeed without even noticing it.

Also, print-on-demand color printing is not of very good quality in most cases.

      Stick to black and white.

Ah ok, well that makes sense. It's a shame though because I like to use images a lot.

So i found Disk.com, and will give them a call, or they will to me since I filled out a form, asking about there on demand service. I'd like to package a couple CD's along with the book and it seems like they can do that.

Thanks for the tip on createspace...probably the cheapest I've seen for color printing. I have to do color since I have up close photos with the tutorials that can't be black and white. If anyone else has an even cheaper alternative to color printing booklets, let me know. I hate to spend $10 per booklet but I haven't found anything cheaper for a 120 page full color printing job.

Yah Jenn, This is the cheapest I've also found. Most of the time I was getting about $18 for a 116 page book.

Can't wait to get my book on there, wooot!
