1000th Post And A Little Inspiration For Some One

Here is my 1000th post on the warrior forum. I have no gift for warriors for now but here is my story. I sincerely hope someone will be inspired.

Those that now me and know how I started know that I was a no body. I had no money, no connection but I have two things : The believe that I am God's son and the will to work hard and make it in life with God's blessing.

It took me 1 year and 1 month to make my first $100. I was super frustrated but was too ashame to give up. First, there was no how I could get a job that will fit my health. Thankfully I had learnt how to invest in the stock market and Nigeria's stock market was rated as the best in the world.

The money raised from being a trader ( not an investor ) helped me run my business and feed myself, my parents and my 4 siblings but the worst happened. The market crashe and it never recovered till today.

I remember then when I had no money and needed to renew my internet connection in about 3 days ( then ). I was frustrated, was to ashame to beg people. There was nothing I could do. It was then I said a thread with the title " internet marketing is frustating for me and I am giving up" ( I actually made 2 of such postes but one and the one I am referring to here is now deleted ).

Unforunately being a Nigerian ( I could not have hidden my identity but decided against it due to advise I got from some warriors who I chat with ) and because someone has tried to ripped off warriors by claiming his dad or his dad's dad and those bull**** was sick and needed warriors to raise funds for him.

I was wrongly accused to be a scammer ( not every body but majority believe I was ). Thankfully James Fraze, Tess7, kohuether, icjackson, alexei_aus, Jenni Mac and so many others ( I just can not resist mentioning those ) were willing to help and encourage me not to give up. I got pms from several people telling me they believe me but I should not give up.

Some recommended books. Some of the books that were recommended are : Success is a Journey - Brian Tracy, Failing forward - John Maxwell, Tough Times Never Last Tough People Do - Robert Schuller. Thankfully I already have the first two and only had to buy the last one for about $5 ( reprinted copies ). I did not only read these books, I allowed them to be my guide.

I made my first $100 through site flipping. Some warriors ( kudos to you Tommyg, Jason Pereira, Hamida Harland, Desmond Ong ) took my by the hand and showed me the way to go. I made my first $100, bought a domain name, wrote some articles and sold another site ( private sale ) for $200. Was able to pay off my internet connection. Bob Coleman (I can't remember his ) accepted $200 in paypal and sent me $180 in western union as Nigeria is not on paypal's list which means I can only adopt another country if I must use paypal and even then, I can not withdraw anymoney.

Unfortunately, the site flipping market became saturated ( not saturated really but my thinking was stagnated ) and I could not sell start up sites again as no one was interested. Just then the major market place ( site point then now flippa ) decided to move and the market was tougher.

I decided to do some long term flips using article marketing. I also made up my mind to move to Benin Republic ( a country close to Nigeria but French is the official language ). On getting to Benin, my paypal was closed and all my money seized - I guess they finally figured I was a Nigerian. Things became bad but I was not going to give up.

I learnt how to write my articles by myself. Did all the dirty job and began to see some success. Fast forward to today, I now know my way through and I can now use paypal ( through the help of friends on the warrior forum ) without being scared of it being closed permanently. About 6 hours ago I was able to give some money to my siblings against Monday for their school fees. Something I could not do some months back, something I would probably have not been able to do if I had given up.

I could have given up, but thank God I did not. I appreciate the fact that I got to know that tough times never last, only tough people do. I now know success is a journey. I now know setback is a set up for a comeback - a great comeback.

I later found out what was the main reason why I did not make it :

1. I was only writting articles and posting it on my blog without driving traffic to it. And when I started driving traffic, I was only using one method ( yahoo answers ).

2. Another thing that stagnated me was because I was jumping from one thing to the other. I have done article marketing and site flipping for the last few months and I have made over $10k which I could not have made by trying everything available on earth.

3. I concentrated on the problem and not solving the problem. I can remember many times when I will just go into my room crying and worrying ( migraine has taken the worrying spirit from me by force ) instead of reading and trying to learn what I am doing wrong.

4. I felt I had known it all and was not interested in learning anything new - had the opportunity to go to seminars and workshops but did not.

5. I DID NOW KNOW THE WARRIOR FORUM EARLY ENOUGH - I got to know the warrior forum almost 1 year of my IM journey.

I did not start this thread to talk about myself but encourage someone that may be close to giving up.

Remeber :

winners never quit and quitters never win
success is a journey
Tough times never last tough people do
Set back is a set up for a come back
Readers are leaders

I have no gift to give warriors ( will finish my site flipping ebook soon and will be given it out at a very cheap price or even free ) but here are some of the posts made by others that really helped me.

    Hey Yommy,

Honestly, I've been watching yommy for sometime now..

I used to read some of his earlier posts (rants) and see the
succeeding ones improve. This is a good thing. In fact quite
exceptional for someone who started with a "heavy" load.

Yommy, you say that you have no gift for warriors..on the
contrary, this thread, your story already contains it..

I know I don't have to emphasize but this post is valuable,
sometimes how we're able to move against the storms of
our lives is enough to inspire a hundred, a thousand perhaps
to try, strive, persist and do the same..

Once I said in one of your post that maybe you can be the
start of a positive image change for your country..That could
take more than a single man and most probably an entire lifetime
to achieve..but today, I can see you're starting it..

    All the best,

Yommy - your story is not only an inspiration to us fellow internet marketers, your story is an inspiration to all human beings. You stood up against adversity, didn't give up, and look at you now I hope you're very proud of yourself, and your family is too because you deserve everything you have achieved and more.

It's funny, but the things you listed and said you were doing wrong are very similar to the things I was doing wrong until a few weeks ago. Not only that, but every single thread you listed at the end of your post, I have read previously and really been inspired by - particularly KKchoon's, Talinn's and Daniel Molano's.

Keep up the wonderful work, and thanks for inspiring me, and many others with not only this thread, but your entire outlook

Yeah I remember way back when Yommy, when you were really down and out. And there were some people who kept saying your from Nigeria and that is so unfortunate and blah, blah BS crap. They were kicking you when you were down for the count.

The sad thing is many of these people were so called authentic, long term Warriors who kept bringing up negative BS about Nigeria. This served only to bring you down and put negative notions in your head. I remember who these Warriors were and I will not name names but I am sure others wont forget either !! Unbelievable !! I will be Interested to see if these same People come out anymore and badmouth your Country ?? Like they say the Success is the sweetest revenge.

Anyway, thank goodness the good Warriors came out and did give you positive feedback and encouraged you like they did. Kudos to them and you know who you are.

Congrats on your Success, Yommy. And you are a true inspiration my friend !! This Post is a real Gift to give back to the Warrior Forum !

Thanks man. I can also remember one of the heated debate you have with xxxxx ( name with held ) on one of my threads.

I am happy things are beginning to take shape for me and I attribute everything to GOD and the warriors.
