Could I Be Cheeky And Ask A Really Quick Favour.....

Okay, I can ask but I might not get right!!

I need some Aweber code slotting into a basic Squeeze page I did in NVU. This is probably "Billy Basic" to someone who know's what they are doing but I don't

Can anyone help.

This is my 1st ever free eBook which I am waiting to launch and this is stopping me right now....soooooooo frustrating!!

If anyone can PM me with an email address, i'll shoot the file and Aweber code straight over to ya.

Thanks in advance

James

It isn't hard to do. You should learn to do it. Just get the raw html code or the Java code and drop it in where you want it. just have a backup file of the code before you start fiddling with it.

      Hi Anna

I appreciate what you are saying and trust me, I'm all for learning - I'm amazed at what I've actually achieved off my own bat so far!!

However, for some reason, this is just being a pain in the ar*e which is why I have resorted to this post!!

    Hi James,

Take a break for a couple of hours, then go back to it.

Copy the code from Aweber and then go to your NVU page. Make sure you hit "source" code tab at the bottom and then drop it in. Click back to "normal" tab in NVU and you will see where it ended up on the page. Usually, Aweber will tell you where to place it between which tags such as "body" etc.

You will feel very good when you get this done. Trust me, I remember the same feeling you are having now. Just keep plugging.

    Good Luck my friend,

      Hi

Unfortunately I have been having a break from it for the last 3 days so it's not like I haven't tried!!

The issue is that there is already an opt in form on the page but it is one from another product so it's all wrong!!

I tried to take the wrong code out and put the new one in and for whatever reason (if I knew I wouldn't be here lol), it is coming out all over the place!!

Difficult to explain unless you actually saw it.

Hey Bill, glad to see someone answered with what was asked. Might be worthwhile using something like TeamViewer though so James can actually watch you doing it. Will make it much easier next time he has to do it. And we all know there'll be a next time, lol.

      Bill

      Email sent.

I feel really bad asking 'favours' like this!!

Good to see that people still care no matter how trivial the issue is.

Great idea - I'm sure others might benefit or is it just me

        Hi James

Glad you got some help and I hope that it allows you to get on with your project.

It can be really frustrating when you hit a stumbling block especially if it is something that you initially thought would be quite simple.

I have not used NVU before (I'm an xsite pro man myself) but Aweber have lots of video tutorials on their web site. They might have one that will help you in case you need to do it again.

Good luck with your project and I hope it does well for you. I admire anybody who keeps persevering even in the face of frustating obstacles.

        Regards

        Gary

          Hi Bill,
It's been a while since I used Aweber, and I'm glad someone stepped up to help you out, but just for future reference, Aweber has a "Live Chat Support" feature. I've found that "Live Chat Support' from my auto responder service, hosting, domain registar, etc.. always gets me out of a jam like that.

Live Chat Support is the best feature any provisioner can offer to anyone. And it sure beats sitting on hold on the phone, tying up my time. With live chat support, I can multi-task, unlike with phone support.

          Good luck.

            Hi

Just as a final point for this thread, I would like to 'publicly' thank Bill for all of his efforts on sorting out my issue.

He has gone the extra mile for me in his own time and I really appreciate everything he has done (he's basically done it ALL for me!!)

Great work from a genuine, honest guy.

            Cheers Bill
