The Improtance of "Why" and "How".

There are two simple questions that you should be asking yourself every day and if you are not then you need to start. You need to start asking "why" and how" on a regular basis, this isn't only good for IM but it is good for general things to.

Why are these two words so important to success?

Why always leads to another question, eg... Why has my site got loads of traffic over the last 3 days? Why is my traffic source sending me all this traffic? Why is my site converting this traffic so well? Why, why why why... It never ends and you can learn so much and improve your website if you just ask WHY.

When "Why" and "How" are used together, especially on a regular basis, this will improve your business and understanding of your subject. Eg... How did I get all this traffic? Why is it not converting? How can I improve my sales page and so on.

The point of this post is to get you to start asking why and how if you are not already doing so. I feel these are over looked words and should be used on a regular basis, I know there is also what, where and when but the two above, in my eyes are the most important.

So if your website isn't converting so much, if your traffic is low... Start asking why is it like this and how can I improve it.

    Very good idea - something that I need to do more of. I tend to get caught up in go, go, go instead of stopping to evaluate what I've done.

    In addition to Why and How, it would also be good to take a look at those other questions on a regular basis, such as:

    Who are you targeting and are you still meeting their needs?
    What are you offering and how can it be improved?
    Where are you advertising and do you have a plan?
    When do you evaluate this items - how often, and do you have it scheduled?

    I see that I need to get a plan together!
