Best Practices for an Affiliate Page

Ok, I've gone through and searched prior threads and will summarize what I found and add a question or 2.

I'm building out an affiliate page for my first ebook to recruit affiliates. It will include the following:

1. a description of my ebook

2. the market opportunity: how many people, what is the niche, etc

3. a chart of the commission structure (you sell this many books, you get this much commission)

4. How to sign-up as an affiliate (some simple ClickBank instructions)

5. Marketing tools
- a list of keywords
- some sample AdWords ads
- articles (maybe 10) that you are free to modify and use
- banners; at least 3 different sizes
- graphics: the image of the ebook

Am I missing anything? What is the thought of putting a sample PDF (maybe 5 pages or so) of the book? What else are potential affiliates looking for?

I guess I am not the only one who likes to have the graphics, banners, emails etc. with my aff ID already embedded in the html code.

There are affiliate tool pages that do that: put your CB ID or email or aff ID (depending on the sales process) and get all the affiliate tools with your own ID.

    Very good for lazy people

ooops, I totally forgot to put emails on the marketing tools list. So, I will add email auto-responders to the list of tools.

As for the comment about having your affiliate ID embedded already, is there a tool that does that? Or, maybe a simple javascript whereby you enter your CB ID then all the affiliate links on the page auto-update with your ID?

I'm working on some new things. So, nothing to promote just yet.

    Yes, there is.
I have a small software that created this aff page:
    Digital Pension Blueprint Affiliates
Actually, to be more precise, it creates something similar (without the header, footer which I added for that product) and without the "masking" of the email - that's another script.

If you add the CB id in the field, it will work.

I see you don't have enough posts for PM, so try to write me an email if you are interested. I am "thepensionguy" at the big G

You got most of them. Did you have forum and email signatures? PPC ads examples?
