Blogging - Copyright infringement

Hi, I currently have an active blog and I was thinking of making it interesting by adding links, videos, pictures, featured articles.

However, I am afraid of infringing copyright laws:
- Are there any other sources to post non-copyrighted images other that flickr.com?
- Am I allowed to feature ALL YouTube videos on my blog?
- Am I allowed to place ANY website link on my blog?
- Am I allowed to feature ANY articles as long as I acknowledge them?

you are allowed to post most YouTube videos on your site. The ones that you can't say "embedding disabled by request".

You can get lots of free images for your site from
stock.xchng - the leading free stock photography site

When posting other people's articles from article directories, etc, just include the resource box, and you are compliant.

You can link to any website you want. I don't know of any situation where you can't, after all, everyone wants and needs inbound links

For anything else that you are unsure of, look for terms of use on the site of the resource you want to use. Sometimes you need permission to use the resource. Other times a link-back is all that is required.

well as long as you're not posting like full movies like the matrix or anything you should be fine.

In the world of online copyright infringement it all boils down to one thing... damages.

If someone can easily prove that you're costing them money you could get into trouble. But for everything you're talking about adding there shouldn't be a problem...

    - Are there any other sources to post non-copyrighted images other that flickr.com?

There are plenty of places to get free stock images try a place like sxc.hu

    - Am I allowed to feature ALL YouTube videos on my blog?

Yes that's why there is a freely available "embed" code beside every video. Just don't try to embed tv shows or hollywood movies.

    - Am I allowed to place ANY website link on my blog?

This is what the internet is based on... People linking to other people. Posting links on your site is a good thing. And many sites will actually thank you for the linkback.

    - Am I allowed to feature ANY articles as long as I acknowledge them?

Yes provided the place your getting the articles from says that's ok. Ezinearticles for example allows this as long as you keep the article in tact and quote the source.
