After the big trend in article marketing in the past year or two the dust has settled, which article directories still matter in terms of link power in the eyes of Google?

Obviously EzineArticles.com is at the top of the list, GoArticles.com is somewhere on the list as well... what are your top 5 chocies?

List them below... :p

  • Pick 4 or 5 highly competitive niches. Do some search engine sleuthing. What directories come up? There is your answer.

If you focus on search then you should only be targeting Article Directories that actually deliver results.

People get so obsessed with submitting everywhere. When they should be focusing on writing Articles that people want to read. One article can make you a lot of money. Yet 100 poor articles can make you nothing. It's a lot easier to make money by making your work really count.

I often go back and rewrite articles and fix titles on my work to improve it's performance. No point in a one and out.
  • The only one that i deal with is Ezine.

  • I have used EZA and GA but GA tends to go south pretty quickly in the SERPS.

    • I only submit by hand to EA. But I have an article submitter
that hits 500. I don't really go and check out all thesubmissions.

I ckeck EA. always. If it gets in EA that is when I use the
      submitter.

      Hope this helps.
  • Warrior Allen Graves' member directory at Article Directory - Article Marketing Community is really good and they're amping up the services--actually promoting your articles for you.

I don't submit nearly as much as I should...

  • I would say:

    1. EzineArticles
    2. GoArticles
    3. Articlesbase
    4. Buzzle
    5. Helium (maybe)

    • EZA, I used Articlesbase for a while, noticed articles were getting syndicated quite alot, however soon realised their links are NoFollow. Shame really, I thought they were going to be a good competitor for Chris Knight. Anyway, EZA and hub gets most of my articles.
