    • Isn't it great?!?! It's kind of like Christmas. Just wish I could buy more than 1 at a time.

      P.S. If anyone doesn't want to buy their own, I will pay you $2.34 if you buy a domain for me and transfer it my way. I will provide you a list of domains I need. (Easy way to double your money!!)

    • I've been seeing $.99 domain names from GoDaddy for years, yet never managed to pay less than $9 per year through them. Hmmm.
    • thanks for the info, just got me a killer domain.

      lovely traffic, lovely google results
  • Thanks! Pretty funny that they don't let you pay with paypal, but they'll take a paypal card. Works for me anyway.

    Please I want to buy two domain names but I don't have a PayPal account as a result of my nationality but I have some money in my AlertPay account to pay for two $0.99 domain names.

    If anyone can accept payment via AlertPay, I will shift $3 to the person's account so that the person can use his PayPal dbit card to buy the domain names for me.
  • Did some searching to try and find the source of the code. But seem almost impossible, as the code appear to have spread intensively from site to site, and person to person.

    Personally I am a bit hesitant to using promotion code without knowing the source, though I am guessing there is no reason to...

    • There's not really any reason you have to know where the promo code comes from before using it. It's either going to work or it's not.

      When I want to buy a new domain, I always check this site for promo codes:

      Godaddy promo codes and coupons list for 2010

      You have to click to the last page to get the current codes. There are often several choices for different types of domains and add-ons.

      When I need multiple domains, I add them to my cart and then I go through the different codes to see which one gives me the best deal. I rarely ever pay more than $7.49 per domain and sometimes less. Works for me!
  • where to put this code
  • Towards the end of checkout, where you select the amount of years you want it, whether you want it to be private or public, under the table there's a promo box where you can enter it.

    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I just registered for 99 cents, still valid
  • I wonder if there is any catch? Does anyone know why GoDaddy is doing it? Has anyone read the fine print?
  • no catch lol, I've bought from them when they have these promotions going several times

    promotional stunts, give newcomers with no money a chance?

    Loads of reasons, but the terms are still the same, 1 year for a portion of the price when you enter the code.
  • This code could not have come at a better time for me as I was just discussing purchasing a new domain name last night with my significant other. He'll be happy I was able to get it for $1.17 instead of $10+

    Thanks for sharing this with us Greg. I just used it this morning, so not sure how long this promo code will last. But very grateful that it was listed.

    • GD makes their real money on upsells and renewals - which is
      why they run these specials all the time.
  • How long is this for?
  • Thanks for the tip!
  • I just tried code and it says the code is invalid. Is it still working?
  • Got a nice domain, thanks. These things add up over the course of a year so it is nice to get a deal once in a while.
  • it does not work with renewal... new domain only? I tried renewal.. no good
  • Thanks for the tip, I definitely took advantage of it.
  • I got it to work. Go daddy now has this deal listed on it's homepage. Just got the domain I wanted
  • Not working for me. I wonder if it's US only?
  • I want to buy, but a bit leary since my mentor says Go Daddy is a terrible place to buy domains from. Any input?

    • I'm currently in Asia and I cannot get the code to work for me...

      I did see the offer on the front page... but there was no code...

      I tried the code here and it did not work...

      I'm thinking it might notwork outside the US

  • thanks for the code.... hope its still active
  • Thank you Greg
  • It appears to now be dead. It was a good run though. Hope we find another $1 code soon. Thanks for all the thanks!
  • Yeah, I just tried it too. I guess I waited too long. Anyone know of any other discount codes for domains?
    • [1] reply
    • Nowhere near as good as the 1.99USD or 99c deals they have (which are usually limited to x000 redemptions), but here are my mainstays:

      EMMA9 = .com domains for $7.49 each (new & renewal)
      EMMA3 = .com domains for $7.49 each (new & renewal)
      EMMA35 = .com domains for £3.50 each
      EMMA30 = 30% discount on .com domains
      EMMA25 = 25% reduction on your order of $100+
      EMMA8 = 20% off your order of $50+
      EMMA7 = 10% discount on non-sale items (no minimum)
      EMMA20H = 20% hosting discount (1,2 or 3 year plans)
      EMMASSL = $12.99 SSL certificates

      Mostly collected from email marketing mailshots and, to be honest, tooling around with the numbers on the end of EMMA to see what happens, which surprising success, sometimes. Hope they're useful
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • is it out of date now?

  • Cool tip thanks for that ,but is it still available?
  • This will be useful to a lot of people and appreciate the share. The 99 Cent offer is over but they do have one currently for $1.99
