Need help locating Affiliates

I'm looking for advice on the best places to advertise for affiliates.

I am thinking about using the services of Affiliate Announce. If you've used their service, I'd be interested in learning of your results.

Thanks,

Rounder

      Hi Rounder
You can start by putting a link to your affiliate program in your sig line.
Join other forums. Write articles , blog posts.

If you have a good program that converts well quality affiliates will find you.
When I started my program I put one little post up on Usenet. I picked up an affiliate that brought in 3000 a month in sales. After that he referred friends and it grew from there.

        I'm in the same boat.

I'm in a few different niches but I've focused on the poker market for awhile now. I currently have five quality products and I've personally contacted approximately 75 possible affiliates via email. These contacts either have their own info product, book or poker site.

However, I've only had a few sign up to be my affiliate. And so far no one has really sent much traffic to my sites.

Is this normal or am I missing something?

One thing to note is that I just recently contacted them. Probably all in the last 10 days. But my experience tells me if they don't respond immediately they never will.

What is the proper protocol as far as sending them a second or third email? When is it considered spam? Even though their quick, personal emails they are unsolicited.

        Thanks for your help!

BTW - my affiliate site is at Poker Affiliate Program - PokerProfitPartners.com if anyone would like to comment on it.
