My First Time Taking Action and this Happens

O'kay I have finally done something.
Nothing spectacular but the results were positive.

I created a free blogger blog and threw up one page with
some adsense.

It is a tremendously desparate (urgent problem that needs to be solved)
niche with many high paying KWs and plenty of room for new competition.

Anyway, I decided to write my first article and submit it to Ezine on Monday evening.

Today, I recieved an email alerting me that my article had been accepted
and that I have expert status.

I truly believe that with solid seo and other forms of traffic generation I can
build an authority site within this niche that can produce $100/day at a bare
minimal with adsense alone.

And no telling how much more once I employ more profitable revenue generators.

Hopefully, I don't let this oportunity pass me by.

I literally have notebooks filled with ideas that I have been
recording over the past couple years.

Just need to gain some traction is all.

I must've missed it - what were your positive results?

You didn't mention any, unless you mean that ezinearticles accepted your article, but thought that was normal.

Unfortunately, they don't almost always accept Articles so I think that getting your Ezine Articles accepted is a positive thing !! Dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

So keep it going , bro. It all starts out with that one Blog. Just Remain determined and work smart and hard. It will not be a easy road. There will be lots of obstacles you will confront. It may be a year or more before you see some decent results.

So hang in there and absorb as much as you can here at Warrior.

        • Congratulations on taking action and just doing it. It doesn't matter if you gotten results yet or not. You did what you needed to do to motivate yourself to keep going. Ironically, you just achieved what a lot of Warriors been trying to get newbies to do for years. You will never know what works and what doesn't unless you try it for yourself. You're well on your way to succeeding in IM.

          Congrats again on your accomplishments!

    Trust me.
For me that is a positive result.

    Why?

Because I'm wayyy past the information overload stage.

    I'm a very imaginative person but what I lack is self-discipline;
self-control; focus; attention; concentration or whatever one chooses to
    call it.

    I see your point.

This wasn't a measurable physical result.

It was more of a mental boost.

For people like me that mental boost or small result is
    something huge.

For people like you: the doers; the self-disciplined.

    It is nothing.

Sorry, I just finally took some type of action, however small,
and recieved a positive outcome for it and became overwhelmed with joy.

      That's great.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade and I knew some haters would probably take a shot at me for being so blunt - but the reason I say is this....

You seem to be basing all of the expectations which are causing you to get excited on the hearsay of others telling you that Adsense is easy income - "just pick a niche and put up a blog and you can get $100 a day".

This was the case 5 or 6 years ago - but it's not a realistic expectation for someone putting up their first blog to have.

      I'm keeping it real here.

There are many people in the forum that will come along and pat you on the back for anything and tell you that you're now on your way to riches - but most of those people aren't making any money either and they do it because they're still telling themselves the same story as you got told - it's easy, put up a blog and Adsense and watch the money roll in.

Maybe you've picked a fantastic niche and it really will happen for you - I hope it does.

But I've learned over the last 10 years of doing IM - that if you're proned to getting excited - do it after you see some money coming in from your hard work.

When your blog makes your first dollar - celebrate that for sure.....

Otherwise you'll keep giving yourself a pat on the back just for taking action when constant focused action is the very least that should be happening and in itself has no guarantee of anything.

Action that gets the results you're after - you can celebrate all day long.

Maybe you're a bit insecure about all this IM stuff and are just struggling to get motivated - I certainly understand that. When I started out I had $100k of debt and you can bet I wanted to believe everything I heard about online money being easy. It was actually easier back then too, but still not quite what I had hoped or expected based on all the hype.

It's great that you're able to get yourself so excited about each step - but just remember to also take a look at whether your actions are achieving the end result (making money) or you can end up very busy not making money and wonder what happened a year or two down the line.

Don't hate me for saying this - I'm actually only saying it because I care.

      Andy

      What is a huge assumption?

You need to be clear when you communicate; especially when writing.

I have read enough posts and material over the past couple years, from respected
marketers to be able to come to the basic conclusions in my first post.

If that is what you were refering to.

      Just need to implement

      thanks

Basically, from what I've read and not from what I have tested.

One of the easiest ways to make a decent amount with adsense
is to find a niche with a large number of high CPC KWs with at least
50+ daily searches that people will click.

      I have found one.

Build your site in a manner that your ads will convert and then
drive traffic. My site will not be a thin one.

I have personally experienced the circumstances of the topic of the niche
      in question.

I know how desparate the people in this particular situation are.

I can talk to them on an emotional level because
I have walked in their shoes and overcame the
      adversity that they now face.

The niche is a big money one but there is humongous opportunity
      for a newcomer.

And exponentially more for real marketers.

Even a newbie that is hustling with adsense can make something happen.

I know that these ads will convert if I do my job.

If you are interested in adsense search the forum.

There is alot of free info from members that are getting paid
      good money using adsense.

I don't know who you are you might be very experienced or a millionaire
      or something.

Adsense is not the the end all be all.

In fact, if I had more confidence I would not touch it at all.

But it is a good start for people like me and will give me
the money to move on to bigger and better things.

Not to mention learning a few fundamentals along the way.

    Hi K,

Congrats on getting off the dime. The hardest steps are the first few hundred. By the time you've walked a mile, you will have forgotten that you ever even were standing still for all that time.

    A few points:

Go Wordpress for the blog. I agree with the other posters....its the only way to go if you are serious about creating and monetizing. Plus, Wordpress is loaded with free plug-ins and widgets that can make life much easier, especially for SEO. (Try the All-In-One SEO Pack and Google Sitemaps)

Check out Isnare as well as other article directories. Pay the small fee to distribute the same ariticle you used on Ezine (or you can reword it). Keep in mind that Isnare does have a 500 wd minimum compared to 250 for Ezine.

Drip feed those posts into Wordpress and get your RSS feed going...before you know it, people will start showing up here and there.

Don't forget the Google Analytics for your blog. Measure that traffic...Wordpress has an easy way to put the code in so you don't have to mess with source or templates.

Best of luck to you my friend!!!

Congratulations! The first step is always the hardest one!

Just think that $100 a day with AdSense using only one website is not an easy task. I'm not working with AdSense now, but I do have a lot of stuff about it and have worked on it in the past, and my advice for you is: many small blogs perform better than just 1 big blog (blogs with about 10 posts are very good). It's because it allows you to focus on several keywords that are really profitable and also use themes/templates that rock with adsense.

Create several blogs focusing on keywords related to physical products and services (e. g. iPod, lawyers, digital cameras, etc) because they pay high amounts per click. Make sure that you have a good keyword tool (I love Keyword Elite ;-) and dominate the search engines! Soon you will be able to create a blog that will generate something between $5 to $10 a month in 2 days. Also, in this case you can use Blogger (although Wordpress is always a better option) because you business will not ruin if you lose 1 or 2 blogs.

I think that with many small blogs you can reach your goal of $100 a day in 2 months or so. Of course, you need to have some skills, you will need to know how to write an article/post (keyword density, attractive for humans, etc), get some backlinks, etc. But if you don't lose your focus (the hardest part!) you will succeed!

    Best wishes,
    William

      That's good news, K. Rondo.

So much of this internet marketing stuff succeeds or fails mainly because of our own minds. Anything that serves to motivate is very, very valuable.

It's a game of inches and you're absolutely on the right track. Now just wait until the adsense earnings start coming in. I was like a school boy when I made my first 16 cents from one anonymous click.

Congratulation for taking action and doing it. I am a newbie myself, and in the past few months that I have been learning (all from good people here at WF), I have taken action that no matter how small they may look to others who are passed that perticlar point, it just excited me and gave me motivation to do more.
I haven't achieve any BIG success(depends on how one masseur success), and I am far from being there, but I know to achieve big success you must first achieve smaller ones. So be proud of yourself for taking that step and achieving the success(yes getting an article accepted to ezine for a first timer is a huge success).

And I know how flow warriors congratulating you, gives you motivation, and they all mean well, but I think you should also take into the consideration things that people like Andy have said. I am not his friend(yet), but for the short while I have been here, I have seen how helpful he is to people, and although the way he chooses to put the words together as a response to a thread may seem harsh and not motivating, he means well, specially in a sense that he is trying to help you look at it realistically and set realistic goals.

If you think that "hey all I need is a blog, a niche and adsense to make $100 a day in this or that amount of time" (although those are technically what you need) but when you get started and realize how every little thing you didn't count on, and didn't know about, is going to be a major road block for you, it will be very disappointing, and makes you want to give up after a while.

And keep in mind that this is a forum and not a face to face conversation, so many times people say things that if you could see their facial actions and reactions, you would take what they say in a totally different way. So while it may seem harsh, the poster actually trying to be nice and helpful.

I believe most people here are nice and always try to help best way to can (with the exception of scammers), and I have had situation like this myself. In this case both group "motivators" and "keeping it real people" are trying to help, each in different ways, so what I have learned is to use the motivation talks to obviously keep myself motivated and ready to do the next thing, at the same time I listen to those realistic views as well and try to keep those points in mind as well. Both will serve you in your path to success.

Again I congratulate you and I wish you more success along with the rest of us. Keep us updated, as it will help others to be motivated as well as giving you an opportunity to get more motivation for your next and next and next steps, while keeping it real and achievable.

I have personally experienced the circumstances of the topic of the niche

I know how desparate the people in this particular situation are.

I can talk to them on an emotional level because
I have walked in their shoes and overcame the
    adversity that they now face.
Then you might want to consider trying to sell them a product (either your own or an affiliate product) because you have the perfect background for it.

I think you might find that you will make much more than you do with adsense.

Congrats for taking action, though, the first steps really are the hardest, now you just need to start cranking out the articles.

And, definitely, consider going with your own hosted blog instead of blogger. No matter how great you think your blog is, it just takes one competitor to report you and one reviewer to not think your blog is as great as you do and all your efforts go down the drain.
