      Try these:

      1. How do you know you'll eventually make enough money online to buy you a new house? The same question applies to all businesses - I have a business plan

      2. Okay, you made money this month, but what makes you think you'll make money next month also? The same question applies to all buisnesses - as I said, I have a Business Plan

      3. You can't make money just by staying home and hitting some keys on the keyboard! Tell them that you'll answer them later - Six months or a year later!

      4. If all will start to make money online, what will be your chances? You are not doing it and neither are any friends or family - So I will lead the way!

      5. Show me the money, then I'll trust that you can make money online! Why should I show you anything. I am my own man and starting my own business.

      6. Even if you make money, you'll lose a lot of them by paying taxes. We all pay taxes and we all die - the only certainty in life!

      7. Wouldn't have been easier to have a job, like all normal people? I am normal. When I'm ready, and if you are able, I'll offer YOU a job!

      8. You've never done IM before. How do you know where to start and what to learn? I spend time on the Internet researching - and I am a member of the Warrior Forum.

      9. You're too old to start making money online. There are younger people who'll outsmart you. One is never to old and if the younger people think like you - I'll have no competition.

      10. Now you want to make money? In recession? Recession or not, I'll earn every day.

That should get the guns blazing

Do as I do, ignore friends and family while you are working the Internet and just get on with the job.

      Best of luck,

      Jeff.

Thank you for posting that, mate. Thank you.

Couple of people who asked me that question, got that exact answer.

Now they are at their 9 to 5 everyday and I'm home choosing my hours.

I've copied the questions too because it always frustrates me when I can only see answers.

    1. How do you know you'll eventually make enough money online to buy you a new house?
Great question. Answer: to generate big dollars you've got to play big, not small. This means operating with a business model that's proven to generate big dollars online.

Within the niche you choose, figure out who's already playing big in that niche (hint: they're extremely visible) and study their business models. Go deep into their funnels. Understand what's generating serious revenue for them. Then commit yourself to duplicating the same core model with your own brand, spin and flare.

    2. Okay, you made money this month, but what makes you think you'll make money next month also?
Again, this comes down to the business model you choose to operate with. The ONLY way to make money in this business (like any other) is to make sales. Period. If you want to make money month after month, you need to make sales month after month.

Nothing complicated about that concept. But it's a matter of committing yourself to setting up the systems that will allow it to happen. Having at least one component of recurring or continuity income doesn't hurt either.

    3. You can't make money just by staying home and hitting some keys on the keyboard!
That's 100% true... unless the keys you're hitting are providing a specific customer audience with what they desperately *want* at a price they are ready and willing to pay. Again, this ain't rocket science.

    4. If all will start to make money online, what will be your chances?
Not all will. In fact most won't. That's the cold hard truth. Only those who want it badly enough ever get it (as with everything else).

    5. Show me the money, then I'll trust that you can make money online!
Look everywhere and you'll see money being made online hand over fist. If money couldn't be made online Google wouldn't be the massive giant it is (hint: over 90% of their revenue is from advertisers... people spending money for online ads because they're making *money* from those ads... aka making money online)

The evidence is already there. Anyone who says there's no evidence money can be made online has no understanding of business whatsoever. Then again, most people don't.

    6. Even if you make money, you'll lose a lot of them by paying taxes.
True. Taxes are a necessary evil. This is why you need to make even more to offset them.

    7. Wouldn't have been easier to have a job, like all normal people?
Perhaps. And yes, a job is the better answer for a lot of people. Why? Because most people don't have the stomach or the commitment for the entrepreneurial game. That's the truth.

    8. You've never done IM before. How do you know where to start and what to learn?
    Model what's already working.
    Model what's already working.
    Model what's already working.

    9. You're too old to start making money online. There are younger people who'll outsmart you.
Age means NOTHING in this game. Commitment, follow-through and fulfilling customer wants mean everything. Period.

    10. Now you want to make money? In recession?
Why not? With traditional industries, institutions and business models crumbling before our eyes, and the internet changing the entire face of business, tell me why now isn't the BEST time to do this?

Because online marketing is extremely scalable. In fact, I know of no offline business with the kind of scalability found in many online marketing methods.

    2. Okay, you made money this month, but what makes you think you'll make money next month also?
Okay, so you have a job this month, but what makes you think you won't get fired next month?

    3. You can't make money just by staying home and hitting some keys on the keyboard!
Too easy to disprove to even discuss this one.

    4. If all will start to make money online, what will be your chances?
With the Internet being as small as it is and so few people spending money, this might be a valid point...

    5. Show me the money, then I'll trust that you can make money online!
Nope. I'm Swiss, we people never disclose income. :p

    6. Even if you make money, you'll lose a lot of them by paying taxes.
What's that got to do with making money online?

    7. Wouldn't have been easier to have a job, like all normal people?
Yes, that would be way easier, no question about it. But it doesn't suit me very well and I don't think there are many jobs that are as much fun for me to do as the stuff I do online is.

    8. You've never done IM before. How do you know where to start and what to learn?
You don't. That's the toughest bit. You'll have suggestions shouted at you from all sides, when you start out, and you won't have a clue what to do. Stick with it and don't follow every dangling carrot and eventually, with some experience gained, you'll be fine.

    9. You're too old to start making money online. There are younger people who'll outsmart you.
Yes, best to lie down in a coffin and wait for the inevitable.

    10. Now you want to make money? In recession?
You're right, we should sit on out butts and twiddle our thumbs until the talking heads on TV say everything's fine again.

Sorry for the sarcasm in some of my answers.
    Interesting little questionnaire, though.

    Cheers,
    Shane

IM means Internet Marketing. "Internet" is just the communication medium used. It's still marketing. Before the Internet, there was brick and mortar marketing, direct mail marketing, tele-marketing, etc. It's all marketing, just the medium is all that's different.

Marketing means the entire process from conception of a profitable product or service -- right through to execution and making the sale.
That's what you learn. That's where you start.

    1) Pick something to sell. Or resell.
    2) Figure out who your customers are
    3) Figure out where to reach them.
    4) Make a plan
    5) Follow it.
    6) Test everything along the way.
    7) Analyze everything and grow.

It's not rocket science. It's just selling. Oldest profession in the world.

Please use the number of the question when you give the answer.

    1. How do you know you'll eventually make enough money online to buy you a new house? How do you know a regular job will eventually make you enough money to buy a new house?

    2. Okay, you made money this month, but what makes you think you'll make money next month also? You have a job this month, the economy isn't good, what makes you think you'll have a job next month?

    3. You can't make money just by staying home and hitting some keys on the keyboard! But you can make money at a job hitting keys on a keyboard? I offer a service online and offline, I have financial freedom, and control over my work, when I work. Do you?

    4. If all will start to make money online, what will be your chances? I don't care if everyone else is making money online too, good for them! What matters is that I am making money online and I love it!

    5. Show me the money, then I'll trust that you can make money online! Show me your credit report and I'll trust that your job in the "real world" covers your expenses.

    6. Even if you make money, you'll lose a lot of them by paying taxes. I can write a lot of stuff off for taxes, internet, computers, hosting fees, gas, supplies, so what?

    7. Wouldn't have been easier to have a job, like all normal people? Easier? Maybe... you're right it is easy to have a job, or a job standing in the unemployment line. Define normal? Living beyond their means of income, borderline bankruptcy, dreading their boring 9-5, living check to check? I'm okay with not being normal!

    8. You've never done IM before. How do you know where to start and what to learn? What are you good at? What are you passionate about? Find that, and you have your answer.

    9. You're too old to start making money online. There are younger people who'll outsmart you. A lot of us are making money online and we help each other... it isn't about age, it isn't about race or nationality.. it is about being successful, and sharing your success! Age has NOTHING to do with it. In fact, many successful warriors are over twice my age. Are you too old to live life the way you want?

    10. Now you want to make money? In recession? Perfect time to WANT money. In this recession people are willing to invest to be better off financially. Can you offer a service to meet this demand? If you're waiting for the perfect time to get started, you won't be successful. The best time to start is right now.
Answers in bold! Well, I suppose my questions to your questions are in bold.

    1. How do you know you'll eventually make enough money online to buy you a new house?

Online business is "rinse and repeat" - If I figure out how to make money with one thing I can just do it over again in a bigger niche. I can literally have dozens of websites which all make a little money each to equal one big paycheck. Working a 9-5 job i can do maybe one extra job at night to earn extra money, but that's it

    2. Okay, you made money this month, but what makes you think you'll make money next month also?

What makes you think you still have a 9-5 job next month? With internet marketing if I have a well diversified source of making money (not all from one niche or one website) and getting traffic I can be pretty sure I will still make money next month or even next year.

    3. You can't make money just by staying home and hitting some keys on the keyboard!

That's a silly question.... I am sure James Patterson or Stephen King don't write their novels in a cubicle. Working from home has been around for ages - it's just gotten easier with the internet.

    4. If all will start to make money online, what will be your chances?

If all will start building their own cars you can't make money on it either. but the key is they don't. With literally hundreds or even thousands of niches there is always room for more people to work hard and put out a quality product that earns money.

    5. Show me the money, then I'll trust that you can make money online!

"See my house, my car, my clothes - well, i don't go to an office or rob banks/deal drugs. So that money has to come from somewhere, guess it's from internet marketing"

    6. Even if you make money, you'll lose a lot of them by paying taxes.

Everybody pays taxes. But running my own business I can optimize my taxes through write-offs etc. If you get a paycheck from a 9-5 job "da man" takes his cut before you even see it.

    7. Wouldn't have been easier to have a job, like all normal people?

easier - probably, but a lot more fun to work for yourself.

    8. You've never done IM before. How do you know where to start and what to learn?

That's a question for the ages.... reading, reading, reading - and once you have a basic grasp of what needs to be done (website creation, setting up a blog, keyword research, etc.) doing it....that's where 99% fail. They study too much and never actually go out and do it.

    9. You're too old to start making money online. There are younger people who'll outsmart you.

Age is just a number - most of the tech work involved is pretty basic (for most sites) and if you can't figure it out you can always outsource it. The internet is big enough for every age group. Heck, my parents neighbor is an online marketer who only started at the age of 60 - just bought himself a brand new aston martin.

    10. Now you want to make money? In recession?
lots of businesses make money in a recession - if you pick the right niche being in a recession can actually help you earn more.

    About the age factor:

If someone is 45 years old now, for instance, chances are that:
    - he had his first interaction with a computer over the age of 20
    - he learned old methods and he might have not the ability to adapt to the new ones
    - he is not as fast as a young high school graduate, when it comes to create a product / software

I have a lot of friends around this age, and they are simply don't believe that money can be made with intangible goods.

It's definitely a matter of conditioning and mindset. If you tell yourself that you can't make money with intangible goods on the internet, then you're already defeated before you even start. Of course, there are also the others (some much older than 45) who buck the trend and refuse to believe in what the majority of their peers insist is impossible, and go on to make a lot of money on the internet.

You're right. Mindset might be the hardest to change for some.

I was lucky, because I had the chance to see first hand what's possible. Some people never had the opportunity to see something else than what they can get from their job.

I couldn't agree more. If you have someone close who can either mentor you or at least show you what's possible, it does make it much easier to overcome this mindset barrier.

I have encountered many people in this age group who just think "computers are not for them" - it's a shame because making money on the internet is not really about the technical skills that you possess, especially if you're in a niche outside of IM; it really has to do a lot more with your knowledge of that niche (and this is something that more mature and experienced people would excel in).

OK, I have had my first - rather superficial - interaction with a computer when I could buy the very fist computer for my son... around 1990 or so. (yes, yes, Eastern Europe and COCOM list <-- younger people should google it, LOL)
      Age: around 40.

Then, in the early nineties I worked as a journalist and we had a DOS based editor program on our "in-house network".
      Age: early forties.

Then I had my very first (excellent for that time) laptop while working in some humanitarian missions... plus a lot of time in the evenings to read all the Help files and printed manuals.
      Age: mid-forties.

Started making websites around 2000. OK, got some initial help from my son who in the meantime became a programmer.
      Age: around 50.

Doing all kind of IM stuff, selling both to older and younger people...
Age: going toward 60 this year.

So, if you have those "older guys" arguing with you - send the to me for a "reciclare"

I am OVER 45, and I probably first interacted with a computer around the time I was 8! YEAH, I know! That's before the PC,. before Microsoft and Apple, etc... Well, it was on a DEC supermini. Hey, my DAD was a computer programmer. I also could read computer schematics.

      - he learned old methods and he might have not the ability to adapt to the new ones
You have that BACKWARDS! I had to study very low level things, so I understand some things people half my age don't seem to grasp. And I have to learn new things ALL THE TIME. Although not exactly NEW, I now find myself having to study SAP R/3.

It is AMAZING how many younger programmers, etc... don't understand locks or race conditions, for example.

      - he is not as fast as a young high school graduate, when it comes to create a product / software
WOW, what a stupid thing to say. I should have taken bets when a similar challenge was made several years ago. The young COLLEGE graduates NEVER got the job done!

[SIZE=2]I have a lot of friends around this age, and they are simply don't believe that money can be made with intangible goods.
OK, I'll admit it. A LOT of people that are over say 50 ARE technophobes. MOST of the reason they don't seem to grasp things is they don't try. But don't think that all older people are STUPID because of that, etc... BTW I have known YOUNGER people that really ARE stupid! Like a person in his 20s that didn't even know basic SQL that had a TECHNICAL interview for database transformation! INCREDIBLE! He FLUNKED! THAT showed he was STUPID because not knowing SQL for that is like trying to interview for a job to repair cars, and not knowing how to screw or unscrew a screw! And it isn't much harder. I ask questions there NOT to find out if they can do it, but to find out if they HAVE. Flunking a SIMPLE question only caused me to dig DEEPER!

The last technical interview I had asked even some VERY obscure things and I got all of them right. The interviewer even said I was the only one to do so well.

Well, I must admit that I feel envious on Carl Ocab. Make Money Online With The Kidblogger.
At his age, my knowledge of computers was like this:
I knew a person who heard that computers existed somewhere.

You did that the right way. Here's the wrong way, I see all the time around me:
        - a person learned in college to program using Hollerith punched cards.
Herman Hollerith - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
She thought, until a few years ago, that programming is done that way even nowadays, because nobody told her otherwise.
        - another person got stuck in the DOS era. She programs in Fox Pro, for DOS. She is terrified to move to Fox for Windows, at least. Programming for the web is out of the question.

I'm speaking about persons I personally know. Some boy, at the end of high school created some sites in his spare time and bought his first car with the money from it, while a 60 year old friend, very talented couldn't create a 10 pages eBook in 2 years, and still lives in poverty.

    1. How do you know you'll eventually make enough money online to buy you a new house?

Because if you are persistent you can make much more money than from your job, you can save the spare cash each month until you can buy a house for cash.

Also your house may be cheaper - you don't need to live in commuting distance of anything.

    2. Okay, you made money this month, but what makes you think you'll make money next month also?

The same reason the business you work for thinks they can pay you next month - I understand the process of how I am getting leads and sales and fulfilling the customer's expectations.

    3. You can't make money just by staying home and hitting some keys on the keyboard!

And you can't make money just by sending nerve impulses to your arms, legs and mouth. Oh wait a minute...

    4. If all will start to make money online, what will be your chances?

It will increase my chances, because I can sell to those making money as well as those who are consumers.

    5. Show me the money, then I'll trust that you can make money online!

I could show you some affiliate accounts etc.

    6. Even if you make money, you'll lose a lot of them by paying taxes.

Running your own business gives you more choices in saving tax than working for someone else (at least in the UK). For example you can pay yourself dividends as a shareholder in a limited company.

    7. Wouldn't have been easier to have a job, like all normal people?

In the short term YES. In the longer term NO a job is way harder, you have to work until you are 60 usually. Or longer.

    8. You've never done IM before. How do you know where to start and what to learn?

Think about what you know about the internet. Who buys stuff online, and what do they buy? That will give you some inspiration. Read a lot of the free information on the Warrior Forum and ask intelligent questions. Test stuff out and take action.

    9. You're too old to start making money online. There are younger people who'll outsmart you.

From being on the WF I've seen people of all ages make money online. If you can send an email you can make money online. Even if you are blind you can do it (you may need a friend to help you set things up though!)

    10. Now you want to make money? In recessio?

A recession is defined (in the UK) as 2 quarters of consecutive negative growth in the economy. It doesn't mean the economy is dead. We all need to survive and buy stuff. We also "need" a lot of luxuries and have a lot of desires. There is a lot of money out there to be made.

Without getting too technical - by creating value and running your own business you increase both the money supply, the velocity of money and the value of money. Money is a "worthless paper" backed by commercial activity - by people creating value and the confidence that people will continue to create value. You will help end the recession by starting your own successful business of any sort.

The questions have a common coloration -- their is an underlying fear. The fear of failure, of the loss of security. It's vital to let them know that nothing in life is sure (except death and taxes :-)). They could lose their secure jobs tomorrow. Their marriages and health could fail...

Knowledge drives out fear (not completely, at the beginning). Let them know you've done a lot of research into the ''online thing'' and share examples of those who've been making lots of money from it for at least a decade.

But even that won't convince those who are set in their ways. Progress requires some form of dissatisfaction...and courage to face the unknown.

    1. How does anyone know? Are offline jobs so secure? However you know, I know.

    2. This is a fair question, ultimately answerable only by showing them the money until it's been at least very steady for many months.

    3. This one's too silly to merit a serious answer.

    4. It's not going to happen, is it? Not in my lifetime.

    5. This is a fair question, ultimately answerable only by showing them the money until it's been at least very steady for many months.

    6. In most countries, self-employed people typically pay a slightly lower percentage of their incomes in taxes because they can offset more deductions.

    7. No, it would have been more difficult and typically less secure.

    8. Like anything else, you study and learn.

    9. This one's illogical: why would being outsmarted by younger people - even if it happens - mean that you can't also make money yourself?

    10. Some industries thrive in recessions, and recessions can be a very good time to be self-employed.

    1. How do you know you'll eventually make enough money online to buy you a new house?

Honestly, I don't. But, I have a formula that works and I will continue to further build upon and expand that formula.

    2. Okay, you made money this month, but what makes you think you'll make money next month also?

Proven Formula - It works. Doesn't stop working just because the calendar goes from April 30th to May 1st.

    3. You can't make money just by staying home and hitting some keys on the keyboard!

You are right, I use my mouse too

    4. If all will start to make money online, what will be your chances?

Good, because I am already making money online. Already one step ahead of the game. But, it doesn't really matter because not everyone will be able to make money online.

    5. Show me the money, then I'll trust that you can make money online!

I keep a stack in my basement:

    6. Even if you make money, you'll lose a lot of them by paying taxes.

You have to do that no matter what.

    7. Wouldn't have been easier to have a job, like all normal people?

I am still a student, but I plan on having a full time job and continue to do IM on the side.

    8. You've never done IM before. How do you know where to start and what to learn?

    You don't.

    9. You're too old to start making money online. There are younger people who'll outsmart you.

    I'm only 20. I hope I'm not too old :p

    10. Now you want to make money? In recession?

I want to make money all the time

We have to face the fact that we're "getting on a bit" compared with some folk. There are people here who are 3/4 years younger than us and I think some of them are earning more than us. :p

(I'm at least a few months older than you, too ).

There is a big difference in the Mindset of an employee and an Entrepreneur. That is why these questions are coming.

A person with an employee mindset always gives his life to someone else's hands and feels that he is safe. Unfortunately he is not safe at all

Even in this Internet marketing field, many people fail because they don't have an Entrepreneurial mindset

First of all, some of these questions are ridiculous. I know you get them, we all do sometimes. People who ask these types of questions, are very skeptical and usually do not join anything unless it's free and then they end up getting out as fast as they got in!

They are a waste of your time. When you get someone like this on the phone, get off the phone as quick as possible or else they will just suck the energy out of you.

You are focused and know where you are headed. Stay focused and you will get there. Yes you may really want to build your business as quickly as possible but you are not desperate.

Here is my sarcastic and possibly "comedic" twist to these questions. Please don't hate me, I'm just trying to have some fun. Yes you can be a comedian AND an internet geek. I have proof!

    1. How do you know you are going to keep your 9-5 job and be able to pay off your house?

    2. Because I can see the future.....really I can.

    3. Well I do more than hit keys......I click my mouse too.

    4. My chances of making money online are better than winning the lotto!

    5. Show me your weekly paycheck!

    6. But I will be making so much money that I won't care about the taxes.

    7. HAHA! I'm far from normal my friend......

    8. Internet Marketing wouldn't be a term without the word "Internet"......use it.

    9. I'm only 23 years old........since when is that considered OLD?!

    10. Hey it's better than waiting until the recession is over.........

hope i will buy a house at 30 years old!

Just one answer from me people.
      5. Show me the money, then I'll trust that you can make money online!

I left my job about 3 months ago and still this evening me and the wife were able to go out and have a nice steak dinner with a couple of beers to wash it all down!
The people next door think I have inherited a windfall I think- Sometimes I even wave them off to work out my window!
The money is electronically transfered into my bank account just as it is through a REAL job as it is called.
