How To Make Money Using FaceBook - Step By Step Instructions

Hey I've seen alot of posts about people trying to earn money using Facebook and I don't blame them. Facebook is a goldmine for internet marketers and website owners. I have been getting solid traffic for my websites using this one idea without spending a cent and its easy!

I could've made an ebook called "FaceBook Secrets, 1,00000000 visitors!" and made millions lol.

So how do I do it? It does take a bit of time but its also fun!

The way is to think of funny and relevant groups for people to join. Easy huh? Just about every user is in a group or a fan of some sort of page and I bet you are too!

I run a group called 'Coke is better in Glass Bottles' and I got over 20,000 members in just 2 weeks!

Now, the good thing is that each post you make in your group is seen by all of your members, then each member that 'likes' your post is seen by all their friends!

So lets break it down, if you have 20,000 members 1 post is seen by 20,000 people, then 10 people from your group 'Like' your post (more will like it but this is just an example) and if those 10 people have 200 friends then 2,000 more people will see the post! Then those 2,000 people will either join your group or like it so your group just keeps on growing! ITS A GOLDMINE!

How to do it:

1. Create a group or page.

2. The title of your page is obviously the most important, check trends websites to see what is hot. Or alternatively if you see a big group that everyone is joining, you can just reword their title and create you own. You will get about as much members as they do.

3. Pick a relevant display picture

4. Send an invite to all your friends, this will start the snowball effect because all their friends will see the posts if they like it.

5. Don't post your site just yet, just post funny posts relevant to your topic. Sometimes I cant be bothered thinking of anything so I just post a full stop (.) because it comes up like this Coke Is Better In A Glass Bottle. So it does the same as a normal post, still get likes and new members.

6. When you start getting members, look at the stats of your page. Facebook has a cool little stat that shows you where the majority of your members are coming from. Say most of your members are coming from the UK (this is usually what happens because they use facebook religiously) so me living in New Zealand, I post late at night just before I go to bed because I know thats when everyone in the UK go on facebook.

7. Once you have like 5,000 members it will keep growing like you cannot imagine. I was so suprised but 100,000 is not an unrealistic goal. I get 3,000 mnew members daily.

8. I post once a day, and one post every week I post my website link or you can post your affiliate link. You can post it more but I choose not to.

9. The next step is to just keep making more and more groups! Once you have 1 successful group its easy to create other large groups. The secret to doing this is to post your new group link in one of your posts with your big group. Then create a 'fake account' and pretend your a real person and have a picture of a hot girl as your display picture. Then add all the people from your big group as friends. Then suggest them to join your little group, so you get about half of your members from your other group.

Easy as that! No one has found this about before but jump on it quick! Because soon it will become huge and everyone will be doing it!

Peace, Matt Minto.

  • great idea. easy n yet powerful. thanks for sharing
  • I shouldn't be sharing this but I have learned so much from everyone here I have to.

I recommend going the page route because with a page you can send a mass update to all your fans that goes into their inbox. And once you get 25 fans, which should be easy if you just suggest it to some of your closer friends, make sure you go to http://www.facebook.com/username and give it a short name. I did that and got my custom page address for The Successful Geek | Facebook in like 5 minutes.

    • Just to let you know - you should not post crap to your fan page, like "Hi Fans, how are you, I just went from the toilet..." becuse in those cases most of them will use the "Hide" option and although they remain your fans, they become unreachable so you can count them as non-fans.

The number of unsubscribed fans can be seen in Page Insights. If you get a lot unsubscribed fans over time, it means you are posting poor content. Watch out. Better to post valuable stuff once in a week than crap once a day.
  • Facebook can be a goldmine bt particularily in the promotion and selling of products for the mellenial generation. (young people).

    • The title of the group or fan page will probably be the determining factor of whether people will join your group/fan page. Something funny or quirky will work well.

  • @istok - thats true but I find if you just post a fullstop then it just shows the title of the group which pretty much sells itself and I find members don't mind if it just says the group. I have like no unsubscribed fans so if this works for me I don't see why it wouldn't for anyone else

Excellent post, but just wondering if the method is a little BlackHat due to its nature? I mean posing as a hott babe and posting on the group.
  • I already use this method but it works great and is very underused. I'm on facebook pretty much all day anyway so I don't even notice the work it takes. Thanks for the post!

    • This was my approach too but maybe I'm showing my age and this sort of info from a younger mind helps a lot!
However, I have seen a mountain of SPAM mail recently that included a lot of offers on just this Facebook topic so there must be a lot of interest in it, if not all healthy!

The key for me (apart from overcoming my misgivings about Facebook) will be finding a topic that relates to my Niche. If it doesn't then I can't see any mileage in it as a marketing tool.

This must be the nub - thanks for the well explained tips!

  • Do you really make money from this system or you use it for traffic generation.
  • Hi,
I am trying out your tips and just created a group call " Who is winning the battle now? Coke or Pepsi.. Just for fun.. I am a newbie, I've just learned adsense but not sure how these traffic from facebook will generate income, I hope you elaborate a little further for me, thanks!
  • Wow, great technique. Never know that it can work wonder with so much traffic. Thanks.
  • Thanks for a great system. I will try it soon.
  • When I search for :

Not great with FB, am I screwing the search up?

How you earn money? Post a link to your affiliate website to generate sales or point it to your own website.

Alternatively you could build up groups then sell them? maybe.

Heres the link to my page Coca-Cola Is Better In A Glass Bottle

I havent started posting my link to my site because as you can see in my sig my site is still under construction so im gonna wait till my site is done then start posting.

  • You make it sound so simple. My company has made a reasonable sum of money through FB in a project we ran. So It does have potential, but i think most people will need a more structured plan than this to be certain to make good money.

    • I agree, but this does provide us with some interesting FB traffic generation tips. I don't think the OP intended any more than that, since he didn't mention anything about monetizing.

One thought is that it would be good to consider how the name of your group relates to a hungry market. In other words, be as humorous and whimsical as you like, but try to have a plan, so that you aren't just generating random traffic, especially when you get to the step where you've inviting an older group to join a newer one-try to make sure they are related, and give the people a reason to be interested, with the thought of becoming a trusted expert, leading to a targeted, responsive list. That way, there is some hope of marketing to them and getting a decent response.

    • I agree, I am VERY active on Facebook and it works excellent when you have targeted friends. Opening it up to a bunch of people based on a group name isn't going to convert many sales. People come on Facebook to connect with friends, hear about events and become fans of their favorite products.
You would have to post to group very often to get enough of your Groupies to actually be online during Status update. You could message all the group members but that is like spamming. Good Luck !!!
  • Thanks for this idea

    • FB is perhaps not the ideal place to promote business. I've had some success doing exactly what you've wrote above.
  • Ok. I have some tips to say regarding this. It might not be enough if you create a FB page that has the potential to go viral. You actually have to get the ball rolling. How to do this? Well, obviously, you should get a lot of friends...like thousands! Or at least have a lot of friends with a lot of friends so they can share the group. Also, I noticed trends are not as popular as pointless, stupid groups. But be careful, Facebook is quick to ban you if they have any suspicion that you are exploiting FB in some way or breaching the rules. So always remember to make backup admins for your groups and web pages!

Also, be especially careful if your pages go viral. I know a guy who got a million member FB page (very valuable) and lost admin access quickly for no specific reason. The page still remained, but he couldn't post anything anymore.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply

    • LetsGoViral,

can you or anyone else for that matter elaborate on the bolded? Are you saying if you have back up admin, if they ban you with the back up you still have access to post?
      • [1] reply
  • Glad to see people are taking advantage of this.

Yes, making groups that target or are related to your 'money' site is better obviously but it is much, much harder to get alot of members. I think that if you had an affiliate site that it like 'make money online' it is very broad and alot of people are interested in it so there will be crazy traffic.

But random funny groups like 'I hate the random indian people who add me on facebook' - (I just made that up (: ) will get an intense amount of members!

    Gooooooooood luck

    • Really great info...thanks for sharing all this...has gotten my creativity fired up. Interesting how one has to tiptoe so carefully on all these social media sites...I tend to want to totally separate being social and having something to sell...so I find these sites offer a good practice place for finding a balance between these two, and learning to cultivate more creativity and fun in this business of making money online.
    • I realize this was off the cuff, but try to stick to non-racist group names-there's nothing funny about racism.
  • the only people I find on FB do my head in with \farm ville? cant find any sense on there, although I do see the point you are making but I think you have to be very young to make this work!

  • I am a FB newbie, can you guys tell me if there's a difference between a "page" and a "group" in FB. I've heard people use both terms. Also, is it possible from this group (or page) trace the profile of the person maintaining it and vice versa - from my FB profile see that I maintain this page / group?

I have an FB account registered under a bogus name, I wasn't too concerned about linking with friends, I just wanted to check out FB features. Now I think I am ready to start Facebooking, should I create a brand new account or change the name. I am just afraid it will say "Mike Smith" changed his name to "John Doe" on my wall. Nobody needs to know
Also, I am very conscious about my online visibility because I am trying business ventures online my current employer (or potential future employers) may not approve. I want to make sure my personal profile and this type of page / groups stay separate.

    • One suggestion is to use a different browser since FB uses cookies to track a member. If you use a alternative browser such as Opera or Firefox, then this will work fine and FB will never know.

  • Yeah, Facebook gets super popular. I heard a Facebook group has attracted more than 750,000 members and helped in this way to get RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's 1992 hit "Killing In The Name" to be the Christmas No. 1 on the U.K. chart. So now Facebook has not only business prospectives, but also a social influence on events offline.
  • @Greg Guitar - This isn't racist. There are actually Indians that spam facebook accounts and add random people to spam them. Everyday I go on I have like 10 friend requests from Indian spammers
    • [3] replies
    • I'd agree with you if you said "I hate people that spam my facebook accounts"-no need to specify the race. I'm sure you don't mean it that way, but putting together the words "I hate", and the name of a race of people is racist in my book, because it spreads an attitude that reflects on an entire people, even if you're talking about something that happened to you.
    • Right.. and you know their Indians because??? I've been on Facebook for years... have over 600 friends, was making groups on it before you were even allowed to drink coke, and never once been spammed by an Indian...

      Your comment offends me...
    • The reason why is because many misunderstand when someone says "make money from a social platform". They do not bother to read any fine print and they just register an account and start spamming...

Look at twitter, myspace, squidoo, scribd.com, and so many other web 2.0 sites. They get filled with spam due to wannabe SpaMarketers that assume making money is all about spamming a site with links.

      James
  • Very good method. I have been doing something similar for sometime and it is easy to make fan pages that will get tons of members. Just get creative and you will be fine. If you want to boost you fan base, just promote $50 worth of ads and watch you group soar!
  • You could use the free $100 coupon facebook provides to get your advertising going
  • Thanks for sharing this ideal... I will start implementing it as from now...
  • Great thread! I will have to try this method at some point in the near future... Thanks!
  • Hi,
That is a great post, thank you
  • Facebook works when you got fun part of your thing...... Coke, McDonald whatever.
but usually is the fun part will get lots of fans in my opinion.
  • Freshmaker, this post is simply wonderful. I've seen some posts talking about making money on facebook, but no one has come close to giving out a simple but effective write-up on this.

    • Hi FM

That was a very interesting post. Thank you.

I once signed up to Facebook as I wanted to look at my friends wedding pictures that they posted but apart from that I am a Facebook virgin.

For every new group that I set up do I have to set up a new account as somebody else?

I hardly even know the basics of Facebook and resisted it as I thought of it was a waste of time until your post.

      Thanks

      Gary
  • Hey gary. Um, the first group or page you want to start just make it from your account that you're on now, don't worry about making a new account. Once you make your group then send a suggestion to all of your friends to join. (This is a function thats on your group page). That should give you a good head start

    Good luck
  • How many friends do you actually NEED to get this done correctly? I can't imagine less then... 500 or so.

Needless to say, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it on my own personal account.
  • I haven't started to promote anything yet. With a group like mine u need a general really broad product.

I only have 200 friends which isn't much
  • Great stuff, thanks for the step-by-step

  • I like your idea.It helps a lot to improve in promoting with social network
  • It's all very well and good having 200,000 fans for a page with a humorous name, but we are marketers here.

Not wanting to rain on anyone's 'great post' parade, but the proof is in the pudding. How would you monetise this highly untargeted list?

I would love to hear from the first person that takes home their first $10, not just bragging rights to a 200,000 fan Facebook page. Then I'll be all ears!
    • [2] replies
    • There are certain offers that work specifically well for all Facebook users. I have a conversion rate of 2-3% for my groups, for example. I believe it's a good % if you get a lot of traffic. With a million member page I think you could average a 100$ daily with no problems.
      • [1] reply

    • First, converting 1 in 10,000 when you have a 200,000+ group is actually pretty good. That means you'd convert 20+ people. Do that 3 times a week, at $10 profit for each person, and you'd be making $600 a week. It's the same as having a targeted group of 1,000 who convert at 2%. Same end results. Same amount of work.

      Second...

It seems, and I hate to point this out, that people are forgetting MySpace. "MySpace? What's that?" Before Facebook took off, and it seemed that "Are you on MySpace?" was the catch-phrase of the day, hundreds of people were making big bucks off un-targeted groups/friends. Instead of hundreds of products claiming "Make $1,000's on Facebook" it was "Make $1,000's on MySpace".

That actually led to quite a big problem with MySpace that caused many of the people on there to move to Facebook. I'll be very sad to see Facebook go the same route. But when I read posts like "make a fake account with a hot girl and add all the friends in your big group to promote your smaller group", I cringe and recall the nasty SPAM days of MySpace, and all the people who violated the T.O.S. to make a quick buck, instead of building a long-lasting well-founded business.

Of course, it's only a matter of time before any great social network becomes ridden with SPAM. So, for those on here wondering how one would monetize a really large group of un-targeted fans/friends/what-have-you, this is how it's been done in the past...CPA and affiliate products.

The hugely successful broadcast bulletins/comments on MySpace that led to the originator making lots of money were based on Cost Per Action campaigns and products that appealed to the young demographic. For instance, being MySpace, almost everyone was interested in music. So people would blast ads for "Download Music 100% Free". That would go to an eBook or site that for a $20 to $47 purchase, you'd find out how to download music for free, which ended up being to simply use LimeWire or similar P2P programs. These weren't people in a music fan group. They were just a bunch of random people who shared a common general interest.

So that's how you monetize a fan page on Coca-Cola (or other broad group). You find a product/site/service that Coca-Cola fans would be interested in (such as a CPA survey where you enter your e-mail and answer the question "Do You Like Coke or Pepsi?" in order to earn a prize), or you find out the demographics of the group (such as aged 18-23) and promote something that most every 18 to 23 year-old would be interested in. Such as "Here's a video of a polar bear drinking Coke from a glass bottle while boarding..." and on the page you direct them to, you have the video and you have ads for music downloads, boarding equipment, fun CPA surveys, etc.

That's how it's done, in a broad explanation. Whether or not it's a long-term strong financial plan is up to you. It has worked in the past (for a short time). And it will probably still work now on an untapped site (for a time). I'll just plan on going to bed tonight weeping that Facebook is going the way of MySpace. *sigh* I guess there's always LinkedIn.
  • Wow--- I have been thinking of decent ideas for awhile... hmm it really takes a great idea to take off... arghh
  • Lesley Huntly - If you can't find a way to make money off having over 200,000 people seeing your page then you've got a problem lol. It needs to be a really broad like I've said
  • Hey bro,

I read your post about facebook group and I really enjoyed it. I had a few questions, to ask you though.

    1. once you created your group is there any way to remove thing that says admins - ( my name )

    2. how do you have all of your group settings n things setup.

    Thank you very much,

    Dan
  • Great idea. But I can suggest a method to get unlimited members to your face book. Nothing to worry about which group fan, find a group that has more than 1 lakh. Pick a image from that group.

Make a new profile and send invitation to that group, every one will become a fan in very soon. I try it and make lots of money from CPA offer. try it.

One question, though: Say I was not comfortable using my current Facebook account for launching the new group . . .

Is there another way I could launch one of these groups? Any ideas on that?

    Thanks for any advice.
  • @dan110989 - If you don't want to have your name saying you made the group. Make a page instead of a group.

@BillyBee - Just make another profile and make a page instead of a group.
    • [1] reply
    • [QUOTE=@BillyBee - Just make another profile and make a page instead of a group.[/QUOTE]

Freshmaker, sorry to be so dense, but can you explain this a bit more? It seems to me that the foundation of your strategy is to launch the new group or page with your existing friends.

As I said, I'm not comfortable using my current friends for that. If I put up another profile, where would I get the friends to launch the new page or group?

I'm sure I'm missing something. Would totally appreciate it if you could elaborate.

By the way, I love how you're not in a hurry to monetize this gold mine you're sitting on. That's confidence! I also love how others are expressing skepticism because you haven't made money yet, but I don't care how untargeted that list is, if someone can't make good money from a list of 200,000 then they're in the wrong business. There's tons of ways. Good for you.
  • @Venturetothetop - I've also been on facebook for years. 4 years and anyone can have 600 friends. Just means they aren't your close friends.

How do I know they're indian? Because they have indian related things in their display pictures like they're wearing turbins and stuff. And their names are like Abdur Kabbar and stuff. I have been hacked 3 times and they spam facebook using chain letters.

Don't act like you know everything because you don't.
    • [1] reply
    • Wow. Dude. Your comments wreak of prejudice and ignorance. For one, Indians are not the only people that wear turbans. And certainly not the only ones with names such as "Abdur Kabbar". Afghans, Pakistanis, Africans, Jamaicans, Arabs, Turks, and other cultures also wear turbans. And names like "Abdur Kabbar" come from many origins, such as Arab, Iranian, Turkish, Afghan and Muslim. To single out a particular race based on a style of clothing or a name or skin color is beyond prejudicial.

Whether or not your Facebook group is racist is debatable, as you are simply "targeting" a particular type of origin of SPAM, probably knowing that you can get equally as much SPAM from whites, blacks, Asians, French, or German people (right?). But the fact that you are singling them out, and the reasons you've stated for assuming they're Indian, is clearly prejudiced and ignorant at best. And these types of race-based comments have no place in these forums.
  • Indeed you do have IM Smarts Freshmaker!
    You are destined for greatness.
Congratulations on your fabulous self awareness & posture too!

Some people, like myself, have wondered what Face Book's purpose in life is!

Last week I heard a great quote.

Face Book is the Backyard BBQ
    Twitter is the Cocktail Party,
    Linkedin is the Business Meeting!

Now, with that understanding, I can see purpose in it all.

    Kindest,

  • @LightningZsolt - I haven't actually made a group like that and I wouldn't but there is a group with over 100,000 members called that, thats why I said it as an example. But a group with that many members must mean that other people agree. I didn't mean to offend anyone but it was just an example. This got outa hand quick. People might be just a bit too sensitive.

    • Understood. Yes, it did get out of hand quickly. And perhaps some people are too sensitive. Perhaps others are not sensitive enough. But let's move past it and focus on how we can all make a lot of money with Facebook, which after all is what this thread is supposed to be about
  • I'm having trouble finding the free $100 facebook ads (I saw the old visa ones and the 3 coupon codes, but they're all dead.)

Way to go with the fanpage though, I keep trying to come up with one.

    • The only ones directly found through Facebook that I was aware of were the ones for the Visa Business Network (which, as you say, are apparently expired). But if you haven't signed up for a Facebook Ads account before, then there's still a way you can get $50 in Facebook ad credits.

Just sign up for a domain hosting account through GoDaddy.com. Not only is it just $6.99 for one month of deluxe hosting, you also get a new domain for $1.99 with a hosting plan purchase. Along with the $50 Facebook ad credits, you get $60 in MySpace Ads credits and $75 in Google AdWords credits. That's $185 in ad credits for a $9 purchase. Not bad, if you ask me. And you can always cancel the hosting after the first month, and still own the domain you buy and redirect it elsewhere (as well as use the ad credits).

      Hope that helps...
    • Great advice for sure.

Remember, like any other type of promotion strategy, keep it as human and real as possible. When you post links all the time and make your advertising obvious, people will ignore you. The OP mentioned posting only one of his own links per week, trust me this is one of the keys to his success.

  • Just a question? Once I have a large fan base to a "any old random" page, will a simple landing page link work? Particularly in my case, I have a very "home business" sounding domain name forwarded to my landing page. Any input is appreciated. Thanks and Thanks to Fresh for the post
    • [1] reply
    • TJ, is the "home business" sounding domain name related to the landing page focused on your offer? If so, then it should be fine. If you're just using an unrelated domain to point to something completely different (for instance, a "home business" domain pointing to a landing page for gardening tips) I would either recommend you buy a generic non-niche-specific domain name to handle your forwards and landing pages, or register a niche-specific domain, depending on your long-term goals for the site.

Not entirely sure I understand your question, though. If you have an example of which you are speaking, that'd greatly help.
  • l will surely try this out. This is very nice indeed.Well explained and in a simple way too.
  • Nice post. Went and created one just for fun on the new "Google Buzz".

Will Google ?BUZZ? Overtake Facebook? | Facebook

Anyone is welcome to join and share your opinions, get the conversation rolling etc.
  • Sincerely, i have been shying away from social networking but with this post am going to turn a new leave.

    Thanks for the information.

    • So how much as this 200,000 person list made the OP so far? From the way I'm reading it, I don't think it has been monetized at all yet... is that correct?

  • Hey,
Nice post you have here. I think I will leverage on your method and start adding friends.

  • This technique is used by TONS of people for a long time now. Especially farmville groups, its getting a little insane how many there are, but it does drive LOTS of traffic. and free. so you can't really complain.

    • I see Ryan Deiss is promoting Facebook Advertising @ $197... not sure if it's a one off or if there's a monthly fee involved as well. Is anyone here offering a facebook course?
  • It's true I haven't monetized my group but I did post a video for my mate of him rapping to try and help him out and he got over 1000 hits in one day. This DOES work. Just try it
  • very informative. great idea. thanks for the post guys!!
  • Great tips! You provided some serious information.

    Great job!

    • Well I don't want to be a negative nancy here, but you're still talking "views" and "fans" and not money. I'm more interested in revenue generated, and not hits.

I can easily get 1000+ hits from videos on youtube - but rarely and unpredictably does it translate into any "decent" money. . I do far better paying $20 on the warrior forum and posting a WSO. Or doing an ad drop in an ezine for $500... based on the leads and 30 day value of the customers I get...

or better still recruiting affiliates... 1 good affiliate is worth about $6,500 INITIALLY to me, and another $10,000 to $15,000 over the life time of all leads sent.

On the flipside I've had coaching clients who can generated hundreds of thousand a hits per month through various "tricks" like safelists and traffic exchanges and social media tactics, but it only results in a few thousand dollars.

I'm just curious about the income potential of this... it may be huge, but it may not. We don't know until you actually attempt to sell something...

But who knows? Maybe this is a holy grail for you. But you, or I or anyone here doesn't know until you actually make money off of it...

  • The idea is good, I am thinking of doing it myself for my niche, and a lot of people have said it will take time but it is worth the effort.
    Thanks.
  • Ok. This technique is used to get ALOT of untargeted traffic to your website unless your group has something to do with your niche. What I have found is no matter what you post your group will keep growing so you can post 5 times a day getting alot of traffic. It works best if you offer them something free to follow the link in the wall post. I have 300,000 members right now and then people like the post which will add another 100,000 to the number. Remember these impressions are DAILY and you can get them whenever you want.

My advice? Stop talking about it and do it! ITS FREE! Give it a go!

    • The majority are not kids ... Facebook does have buyers and you can make money from facebook. If you spam it then you may find yourself banned so there is a certain way to do things.

You can not judge based on facebook ads alone because there are many other ways to make money from facebook. I have got several great customers from facebook and no it was not from some group or fan page.

I personally myself see the fan pages as a waste of time but that is my opinion. The problem is many do not see the entire battle field before them and plan their method of attack ahead of time. Many just see small parts of the field such as fan pages or a group.

You need to think out-side the box on this one and yes the money is there if you get creative and imagine the entire battle field before you ...

  • You have to sell what kids want. 650 clicks isn't much. Usually sites that get 1000 views get 1 or if they're lucky 2 sales. Just because it was a high selling product on clickbank doesn't mean that it will automatically sell. You have to have a good sales letter.
  • I think the trick is to get a name of your page that has draw. Otherwise, it's just another page. Thanks for the tips.
  • Rich Jerk, I'm a big fan of yours but this was me thinking outside of the box. But if you have some other ways. Please share.

    • Well, don't get me wrong I think you have done great.. Good for you for taking some action.. I see nothing wrong with your plan at all, it is just not something for me and there is a vast amount of opportunity other than fan pages and groups.

As for releasing that information in public, I do not think I would be doing that as I am working on some things myself..

      James

  • Haha fair enough. But yeah I was just trying to get the creative juices flowing

    • Man... This is a Great Idea.... and like others have said, if you keep your group focused on your niche (maybe a bit more broad for more eyeballs) you can easily sneak in a mention here and there..

      Good Job.

  • I heard facebook is bringing down the spammer groups as of now and no more mass friend messaging whatsoever.

    • Love the post fresh, any ideas on getting the ball rolling in terms of fans? Other than inviting every personal friend i have and paying for ads? I just dont want to be that annoying friend that invites you to be a fan of his farmville cow, and I'm pretty tapped out in terms of cash to advertise.
  • Still working for me
  • Ummm. You could ask someone who has a popular group to put a link to your group in one of their posts. This will probs get u like 100 fans so that should get the ball rolling.
