How many articles do you write per month? I would like to set a goal of 30 a month for myself but find it hard sometimes to write each day.

If I could actually write 2-4 per week without fail, I would be happy!

I think this is a question balance of both quality and quantity. It's important to get your name out there, and volume does lend to a lot of push and effect. However, people are much more savvy, now, as to what is the meat and potatoes as opposed to the gristle and fat.

I try to set a goal of 10 articles and postings per day. This really isn't that difficult, provided you are registered with at least 5 or more forums and ezines. The most important thing to remember is WHAT and HOW you are saying something, rather than just how many times you are saying it.

By getting your messages out there, and also making them relevant, helpful, and interesting, you will develop a reputation of being an expert. That should be one of your main goals.

    See you at the top.

    Hi Stefani,

It really depends on what you are trying to do with your articles. For example, if you are getting into a new niche, you may want to write more articles.

I work on 5 different niches currently, and try to write one article on each niche each day. So I normally write 5 or 6 articles per day, which I realize is alot for some people.

It normally takes me about 2 hours to write my articles and post them to the article directories I use. I usually submit them to 3 directories.

Other than that, I spend the rest of my time posting to my blogs, putting content on my site, creating Hubpages and Squidoo lenses.

The more you write, the faster and easier it seems to become (at least for me). Hope this helps!

As time goes by and you write more articles it should only take about 15 minutes to write an article. I think 3-4 a day can easily be accomplished.

        hi,

keep writing and trying to time yourself when you write and focus on writing around keywords that are effective, as it does get easier.

          Hello,

I believe once you've made the decision to use article marketing as part of your online traffic generation system, you need to determine what are the skills required. If you can type 30 to 40 words per minute and/or can afford to pay for ghostwritten articles then this is a very effective strategy.

If you can't type that fast or you can't afford to pay for articles then you must look for other solutions.

I looked into this matter and was considering taking a typing course, because at best I can type at 19 words per minute. So you see, it becomes very easy to calculate. At 19 words per minute, if I have a complete understanding of the subject matter, it will take me approximately 16 minutes to type one article (300 word article). That doesn't include corrections, or time to submit. So adding in those two variables and it's safe to say that one article takes me approximately 20 to 25 minutes.

The solution for me... was to invest in speech recognition software. This allows me to create an article, webpage, a hub page or Squidoo site in 1/4 of the time than I could using my two index finger typing system.

          That's a 400% increase in productivity!

Keep an open mind and focus on the solutions!

Is this for blog posting, or article distribution?

EzineArticles seems to be just one place to deposit your articles to. As in it does not distribute articles to thousands of websites, it's just one place which adds articles to their database.

If my understanding of EzineArticles (EA), and what you're trying to do, is correct, then each time you are giving EA an article it is adding your article to it's collection : therefore gaining you one backlink. The more articles you add to EA the more backlinks you get.

However, you may want to use an Article Distributing service which would send your one article to thousands of EA-like websites, therefore giving you thousands of backlinks per article, as opposed to one.

And if you are using an artictle distributing service, you can ingore this post completely, haha.

    Stefani,

Every single person has its own goals and limitations.

I personally make sure that I write 1 article per day. Sometimes, when I am really fired up, I can write 2-5 articles a day.

What ever you feel is more comfortable for you, go with that.

Writing and submitting articles should be ongoing regardless of the amount you can do each month. Some months you will be able to do more or less than others. The important thing is to be regular.

More important than a set # of articles each month is to write high quality articles that will brand you as an expert in a field or at the very least as a writer.

I write 100's per month but then I find it very easy and always write about what I know. If I had to do some research then it would take a lot longer.

I write in about a quarter of the time now than the time when I started. I also spend more time looking for keywords than writing. This makes my articles more valuable in terms of search engine attention and clickthroughs
