clickbank charge tax automatically now?

never noticed this before, just now, found a tax was added to client's charge. about 8.37%. weird.

    Click Bank have added VAT (value added tax) to customers in the EEC, including the UK for many years. They even add it to products that would normally be VAT exempt. That's why when purchasing for myself, I avoid buying through Click Bank whenever I can (thus saving me paying an additional 17.5% in tax).

    Perhaps Click Bank are now applying this tax collection regime to other areas of the world. They would of course, be doing it in consultation with local/national IR/tax collecting authorities in the areas concerned.
