Affiliate Marketers- FTC Rules

With the new FTC rules that rolled out this past October, what language are you guys specifically putting into your blogs or websites to show your relationship? I assume most are not choosing to put in specific language into each post?

I did find the following example on one blog but was curious what others are using. I am looking for something that is a little more succinct and to the point.

NOTE: We never, ever, ever will recommend any product or service on this site that we have not regularly used ourselves and do not wholeheartedly believe in. That said, in some cases after being very pleased with a product or service, we may enter into a relationship with the provider of that product or service such that if someone purchases that product or service based on our recommendation, we may get a small payment. Such payments go towards the upkeep of the Internet Patrol.

Thanking everyone in advance.

I simply state that the links on my site may contain an affiliate link and that IF they make a purchase I MAY receive a commission. And I thank them in advance for helping to support the site in this manner.

    ...but I'm not a lawyer.

I wonder just how strict the FTC is going to be!? If all they need is a statement, then I believe your disclaimer will suffice. However, I'm a firm believer that its not just the information you provide but how you provided it - in small text way below the fold!!!

I understand what you are saying. However, there should be some basic form language one can use that will appease the FTC gods without you having to keep saying the same disclaimer in every post or where it takes away from the actual content of the site and discourages click throughs by its presence. I would think some regular text at the bottom of the site is sufficient for sites devoted to affiliate sales so long as you aren't making the text different than the rest of the site.

I actually kind of like what the other poster gave as his example. I think the best language will be language that sounds less legal like and more conversational that puts this in a more positive light rather than just a derogatory disclaimer.

        .
It is hard to keep up with but last i read a common disclaimer at the bottom is what was required over a link to the disclaimer in terms.

I just try my best so here is what i have in my footer (that is shown on each page) i made the symbol myself and it sits to the left of the text on my page, just hard to align here, feel free to use it if you wish

FTC Affiliate Disclosure - Some links on this site may lead directly or indirectly to affiliate offers. The owner of this site may receive compensation if a purchase is made using a affiliate link from this site. The owner of this site does not make any guarantee concerning these offers and all offers should be viewed as recommendations only.

One FTC representative said in an interview that they didn't have the resources to go after everyone, the plan is to investigate people and businesses that have complaints filed against them. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if they do at least some investigating without having received a complaint first.

As for language, I use Auto Web Law. You just choose the kind of legal form you want to generate, fill in a couple of blanks, and generate the legal text you need. It's nice to have. It does cost $97 but I earned that back in affiliate commissions and then some in short order. You have to be a customer to join the affiliate program...just in case anyone was thinking of giving themselves a discount.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Mine is: "This site receives compensation if its users decide to purchase a third-party solution that's referred from this website."

I take care of it by include a little disclaimer letting my readers know it is an affiliate link. Apparently they like the way I write it because orders have been flowing in like crazy since it. Don't try and be sneaky about it put it out there right in front and people respect that and trust your site all that much more.

This sounds good but what is an example of this. In addition, I would guess you are having to do this in every blog post then as well which is something most people would not want to have to do each time unless they had some form language they could just throw in.
