Does anyone realize that "the #1 marketing forum since 1997" doesn't have any ads? it's pretty rare for a popular forum such as this to have no ads.

    You are absolutely wrong there. There is literally gazillions of ads on this forum. Go look at the WSO section or the warriors for hire section.

    If you are talking about banner ads, there is probably a reason they are not here: they are kinda tacky and are nowhere near as good at making money as they were in the 90´s.

    On top of that they clutter everywhere and cheapen the brand WF, so I would say not having ads in that sense is actually a plus.

    Warning: This is my personal opinion and should not be thought of as a "matter of fact" statement.

    I see one to the lower right to join the war room... that is an ad... not to mention all of the WSO's that are sold here and WF gets some kind of cut on that action.

    WF = very smart advertising

    Hey, I only noticed it after you mentioned it.

    There really are no banner/text ads here!

    There are occasional banner ads - but usually only when Allen is very enthusiastic about a product. Even though they are rare, they do cause some 'marketers' to complain about being sold to ;-)

      LOL, wouldn't that make them hypocritical, I mean they are selling, but they object to being sold to?

        Exactly. You'd expect a forum full of marketers to be the most open to seeing an occasional ad, but apparently that's not the case.

        BTW, there have been (more) ads here from time to time. As Pearson mentioned, there's an occasional banner ad or "Warrior Forum Recommends" ad. At one time there were even ads between posts in the threads (though I think those were WSO ads). And on a very rare occasion Allen has even PM'ed us to promote something.

        Frankly, I'd like to see him recommend more stuff. Better yet, I'd like to see him come out with more of his own reports or products. Everything he puts out is gold.

        cheers,
        Becky

        P.S. Pearson -- I've been meaning to tell you this for some time -- you can't call yourself a grumpy old man when your avatar is a pic of you holding a baby!

          Of all the things that could have caught my eye in this thread it was Pearson's gorgeous avatar that did. Perhaps there are more ads on here than we realise, but we're just all too busy going gooey over the pic of Pearson and his baby to notice them

    I'm not sure that this forum needs ads to maintain itself and make additional revenue.

    Just consider all of the areas of it where people pay money to get their service/product known.
