how to build an email list without autoresponder?

All this while I have been in the IM niche without building an email list and now I have decided to build an email list.

I want to build an email list of 500 ppl without using an autoresponder as I am not going to mail them back yet. It will be a once off mail to send my free report after which I will use an autoresponder service.

At this point I want to build this email list by just using my web hosting account. Any suggestion on how to do and can you please provide me the html tag I should include in my optin page (which will be a popup page)

  • You could try Mail My Form...it's at http://www.mailmyform.com and it's free...

That's the only way I know of so far that you can get emails without an autoresponder...and without paying a monthly fee :-)

Maybe some other Warriors on here can help you as well.

    Good luck, Mrenish!

  • IMO it's not worth it.

When you are ready to sign up for an autoresponder service, all of the decent ones will make all of the people who's mails you've collected re-opt in to import them.

You're better off just going for the month free trial, and then paying the $20 a month if you have to.
  • Most hosting services only allow certain amount of emails to be sent out from your account a day (usually around 500 if I'm not mistaken). It's also really a lot of headache if you don't 100% know what you're doing.

I would signing up for Aweber's $1 trial. You really shouldn't leave your list alone for more than a month anyway
