Hi Warriors,

I recently signed up for AWeber with the $1 trial. It's almost ending and I only have 2 non-buying leads.

Is it OK to drop the subscription and when I'm ready to do some serious listbuilding, resubscribe for AWeber?

$19 is huge in my country, so I'll have to make a decision.

The trial is ending on 3/1/2010 by the way.

That just depends on how serious you are now. It's really ideal to have a list but it can take some time and work to build it so you have to be ready to commit and build...and you may or may not make money from your list right away, it can take some time for those subscribers to buy things from you via your list.

You can drop the subscription and resubscribe later though yes. But I wouldn't advise continuing to signup and drop, particularly if you are getting people to sign up to the list...you're basically wasting time and potential leads if you keep dropping them because you won't be able to keep them.

Is it perfectly fine to use the same credit card to subscribe for the $1 offer?

I only have 2 leads anyway, so it's not a big loss for me.

I doubt it. I haven't tried it, I stayed with my subscription after the trial but I'm sure they have some sort of system in place to keep you from using the $1 trial again. The trial is just so you can get a feel for it and see if you like it (and on their end hopefully suck you into needing it so you'll keep it LOL). There may be a way around that but honestly you should just do it when you're ready to be serious about it and stick with it. A month here and there really isn't going to add up to anything but a bunch of wasted time. Email marketing is a long-term effort.

I personally think you should stick with it. They do say "Speculate to
          Accumulate"

Stick to it and subscribe for the full service.

If you're unwilling to commit, it just shows how serious you are to building a list. I would say just go for it for a month or two and you might be surprised just how well you do.

When you have something on the line, you tend to put more effort into it.

Of course, if list building isn't your main priority at the moment, then there's no harm in dropping it for now and coming back later. But if you really want to start building a list, then go for it!

stick with it mate, I'm started january 4th building my email list and am upto 150 subscribers, the secret is to give away something valuable.

do you have any skills that you can share, as I'm a graphic designer I just created some opt in templates and gave them away.

just stick with it and start learning all you can, its better to start now than later.

what you can also do is send your 2 subscribers an email thanking them for being on your list, I read somewhere that someone started with 2 subscribers and they ended up telling people and their list grew massive

    Thanks
    Andy

I would say go for it. Once you've invested money into it, you will be more serious in this biz.
Once you;ve plonked down the huge amount of cash, you would feel bad for it to go wasted without putting any effort into it.

Think about it, $19 is only 3 sales of a $7 product. I'm sure you can come up with a $7 product in a week. And you would have 3 more weeks left to market it.

Making money online is mainly done by building and contacting your list of prospects regularly with free and paid offers.

It tends to be a bit difficult at first when it comes to building a list but so it is for everything in life. All I can say is put up a good squeeze page, write up at least 5 autoresponder emails and send your prospect to your affiliate page and follow them up to make a sale.

With regards to driving traffic use press releases (my favorite), article marketing but never forget to do a proper keyword research first so as to hit the search engine. backlink for the keywords as well. This is just my 2cents...

      To be continued....
