INTERNET MARKETING

Is just me or what ?? It seems like many people particularly newbies are going about this the wrong way. IM is really simple, not easy but just plain simple. There is a difference.

And I just cant understand why so many people have short term thinking when it comes to IM.. They think you have to be Successful in the next 3 months or so ...........and if you dont then you scrap it and move on.

I have kept my mouth shut and have bit my tongue for so long !! But no more !!

So I challenge everyone of you IMers in here and I mean EVERYONE of you right here and now to put down everything you are doing. EVERYTHING. Close your Youtube Video,
quit editing your Landing Page, close your Aweber Acoount, log out of Clickbank, and Steven Wagenheim stop typing your 15th Article for the day and do this.

Pick any Niche you want. Make it a Competitive one and one with a lot of Searches on Google and with a decent CPC. Go purchase a Domain at GoDaddy with a Keyword related Domain.

Now Start a Blog...........................

And in this Blog , once or twice a Month you are going to put in Unique and original Content with good KW density . You can do this by using about 20 minutes of your time each month and do it when you are NOT working your regular IM Biz. Along with this sprinkle a few backlinks with EZA and a few Profile Links with Angelas Packet. And create a dozen good backlinks to this Blog each month. Nothing major. Also, be sure to Ping at Pingomatic after each new Post.

Now here is the kicker : Just do this every month in your spare time for the next 5 years !! Just a few minutes a month or so each and every month. Do it when you are watching a Movie or making out with your partner or whatever. Thing is be consistent but dont overwork.

Now when that 5 years or so comes around and you have become wildly successful doing your regular IM business, just take a little peek and low and behold this little old Blog you started years ago and that you spent just a few minutes a month has turned into a very nice, Aged Domain and producing a very good monthly cash flow.

What a great Long term Investment !! And pretty freaking simple !!

And remember folks 5 years comes around real quick. Its scary how it really does come fast.

And I see this as a major problem with the instant gratifiers here at Warrior !! Get out of the short term mode before it brings you down.

Think Long Term to secure financial stability !!

Sorry, I'm a noob, but what are you doing with this to make money? Is it adsense or affiliate or what?

I'm curious as I had started to do a blog in a similar sort on a medical condition but wasn't sure how to make any monetize it. I have the medical condition and was planning on blogging my experiences with different things trying to relieve it and figured I could affiliate link through amazon to things that helped me or might help. I was also thinking of running adsense.

What are your suggestions? Thanks

But You are ahead of the ball game because you have Passion about something that effects your Life. I am not sure what your Medial Condition is but I bet there is some Clickbank Products that you could use for Affiliate sales.

For you this Model will work perfectly because you more than likely can write in abundance about this topic and the more the better.Especially if it is original.

The main point is that more people, especially newbies, need to look at IM as a Long Term Investment. And not just something that you start out in writing 20 articles a day and 20 videos a day etc..etc..

Of course there is nothing wrong with this but you should have a backup.

It similar to what I used to do with Futures Trading and Day Trading. I made money short term in Day trading but I also had Long term investments in things like Bonds and Blue Chips.

So you need to build a Portfolio with IM !!

You are assuming that Google will be the same in next 5 years. It may not. Building your entire business based on Google search and waiting for 5 years is FOOLISH.

Where did I say rely on this as your entire business ??

This works.

It won't start to pay for itself for a while but that's not the point because when it does start to pay, it pays.

I've been doing "silly" little projects like this for years and it's worth doing. It might take a couple of years to really get going but when you're spending 30 minutes a month working on it, there's almost zero effort involved.

And before you know it you end up with a whole range of well aged domain names with nice traffic levels, in a range of different niches. That's a very valuable position to be in.

I can't believe Katrina has been 5 years, and I've been out of the military for 6 years.

I think I'm going to research a domain name and get it set up in a little bit, hopefully after a nap.

I'm one of those gotta have it yesterday people on the one hand, on the other hand, I understand long term as well. My blog explains a bit of the need it yesterday thing. So is the explanation of my medical condition.

In short form, my medical condition I was speaking of is arthritis, more specifically, arthritis of the spine. I know there are ebooks on natural remedies, on yoga, on tai chi. I know there are companies that sale products for people with arthritis though they are generally marketing to more of the elderly segment. I am 25 and crippled in pain, which is my reason for trying IM.

So I'm working on trying to get another product or two selling for some instant money, and I'll get this blog going slowly for more of a long term setup.

How can adsense limit someone and should I use it or not? Also got a pm coming your way discrat

I think you guys have the right approach in aiming for the long term. But I think alot of people have immediate financial concerns, which alot of IM's take advantage of with there make money fast products. To be fair I think anyone who has acheived overnight success will usually admit that it was a few years in the making

Many people are 'sold' (and I do mean sold) the idea that all they have to do to be 'rich' is open the computer, click a link and hey presto! There are very few mentions of domain names, hosting accounts, list building software, writing something, giving away quality freebies. Nor much mention that all this costs money, which is limiting when the salary disappears.

The idea is good, discrat, but rarely shared. Thank you for doing so now.

  When I first typed in 'make money online' I found thousands of ways to make hundreds, even thousands of dollars in just 1 day or so.
  After reading some of these offers I was convinced IM was a get rich quick business. So I started looking how I could be a millionaire tomorrow.
  Tried and failed miserably...
  IM turned out to be a giant scam and I didn't want to have anything to do with it anymore.
  Until one day I accidentally discovered the Warrior Forum. (by looking for 'self-improvement' I came along the mindwarriors section)
  I read threads every day and educate myself for free thanks to generous warriors, I might even start something one of these days.
  Now I can see IM is a long-term commitment, but it took me a while to get here. I think lots of noobs experienced something likewise and I'm just glad there are people like you clearing that up.
  Too bad there isn't a thread like this on G's first page when searching for MMO

It's a bit exaggerated example, but the idea
behind this is correct. IM is a long term game.

The idea behind IM success is to build
a long lasting business that is systemized
and develop a model that could be plugged in
to any niche.

I love this post, for two reasons.

1) It shows that everything you do now, even small, can have big results in the future.
2) It helps to relieve that 'information overload'. Where you feel like you have to do every idea you come up with, *right now*, otherwise somehow you're going to miss out. Looking at the long term can help you choose projects to work on that will *really* end up paying off in the future, and that you can put consistent efforts towards.

I don't even know if what I wrote makes sense, it's hard to convey but you're right, we all want things right now and, quite often, it gets us nowhere.

  It makes perfect since Ruth. And I totally agree with you. Particularly about the overload of information problem. I know that causes much distress for many.
  
  And the way you do this long term approach , it really gets around that.
  Its simple but yet powerful. You go in and do what you have to do each Month and then close your Laptop and go play with the kids or go out to eat. Enjoy Life and just implement a long term effort that is consistent but yet not over worked.
  
  And of course continue on with your regular business model of IM whether that be PPC, Bum Marketing, Email Marketing, Website flipping etc....So always stay diversified !!
  
  All this is nothing new and most every IMer who has been around for a year or two knows about it. But I think some forget !!
