"Bookmark Us" button. Have you ever click on 'em?

Hi again folks,

I was thinking of putting a "Bookmark Us" button on my site, but not too sure.

Me myself almost never hit any "Bookmark Us" button on other people's site.
If I like a site, I click on "Add Bookmarks" on Firefox (or Add to Favorites on IE), instead of clicking on the bookmark us button.

So, please share your experience; do you find that "Bookmark Us" button is useful? do you click on 'em everytime you find an interesting site?

I just don't want to add an extra button on my site, if nobody clicking it

Thanks for sharing,
Oki

I don't do it on every site I find interesting, but I'm sure I have used the bookmark button here and there. For my own sites, I figure it couldn't hurt much to add a bookmark button just on the off chance that someone does use it. Might as well increase my chances of repeat visitors any way I can.

Yea. I think its all stupid. You already have browser bookmarks what the hell is the point? Same for that stupid ass social bookmarking stuff. I just don't get it and I'm one of the "young" ones its supposedly appeals to. But I just honestly don't see any use or point to any of it.

            Nope,

            a) I never press those
            b) If your site's that good I'll remember it's name - no use burying it in bookmarks

The only things I bookmark are things I want to make keywords for like the Warrior Forum. Bookmarked with keyword wf.

Now I just type wf in my address bar and I get here

Never used the bookmark option in the site. I always use the firefox bookmark option, just checked it, I have more than 35 sites bookmarked.

I typically do not click on bookmarklets on other people's site.

But I'm only speaking for myself. This is not to say others will not click on yours. Have not tested on this.

Nevertheless, I have them on my site just for the convenience for those who wannna bookmark. No harm done.

          Sorry, Off Topic:

The man on your site looks just like you!

Can you teach me how to do that.

...Icon on your site is to REMIND people to bookmark the site if they think it is interesting and useful. They don't necessarily have to click the icon - just bookmark it in their usual way.

I rarely (if I do at all) bookmarked a blog/website. If I like the content, then I use this scrapbook plugin for Firefox to save the content. And, in the meanwhile, spend sometime browsing the site and scrapbook'ed more content.

But, bookmark or social bookmark? No, never. I do add those social bookmark buttons on my site though. :p

Good question... I see so many of these 'bookmark this' buttons on blogs especially, but I never use them.

Sometimes I wonder if people are just putting them up just because everyone else is doing it...
