I am not good in article writing, thinking of buying articles from article writers like elance.com.

Anyone has any recommendation of the article writer services.
What information should I provide for them to write an article?
What research should I do before look for an article writer?
What would be the fair charges for a quality article?
How many words of article consider a normal blog article?

How frequent the IMers getting articles from article writer?

What information should I provide for them to write an article?

Everything. Give as much information possible so that the output is what you visualized. Keywords, format, font whatever you want to be in the final product...

What research should I do before look for an article writer?

    Samples and feedbacks.

What would be the fair charges for a quality article?

I'm a copywriter. I would say a fair charge is $7-$10 per article. I sell my services at almost half the price to survive. It's your decision really.

How many words of article consider a normal blog article?

    400-500 words.

How frequent the IMers getting articles from article writer?

Depends on the project. The frequency could be daily or weekly.

Elance is a good site for sourcing a large variety of freelancers. However, you actually are a member of this great forum that has a variety of freelancers right under your nose!

There are many talented writers here on Warrior, providing high quality services for a great discount. Search under Warriors For Hire or Warrior Special Offers, as well as checking member's signatures for their services.

INFORMATION: When submitting a proposal to a writer it is best to spell out your main requirements:

    1. The Niche: (ie; Golf)

    2. Keywords: (main keyword & any secondary keywords). Specify how many times the keywords should appear and in what part of the copy (ie; 1st & final paragraph)

    3. Description: Give a brief summary of points you want them to cover in the article, problems to solve, etc

    4. Deliverables: State the deadline for completion. Also the format you want them in (ie; .txt or .doc file). For bulk orders you might also like to request articles delivered as they are completed etc.

COST: Expect to pay approx $7-10 per article for an original, quality article. You can get articles from $4-5 but be aware for this price you may sacrifice quality.

RESEARCH: When choosing a writer, look at samples of their work and read testimonials from past clients.

WORD COUNT: A standard article for a website or article directory is 400 to 600 words in length. A blog post is shorter, and usually between 250 - 400 words.

FREQUENCY: Internet Marketers order original articles based on their individual business needs. I know my regular clients like to place monthly orders, as they plan their SEO article strategy in advance.

    Hope this helps

      Hi Kym,

Whether you realize it or not this post was an excellent example
of forum marketing. You provided a great balance of a "review"
while subtly advertising your own services. You should be writing
reviews along with your article marketing business.

There's a lot to learn from your post.

This is great info as I am about to embark on writing articles and possibly short report on fitness and nutrition.

I was thinking on making articles at least 400 words min and upwards.

Just remember you get what you pay for. If you expect a great article for a buck then don't expect much. I even think someone writing content or articles for 500 words or less at $10 is a great deal.

Hi CS, I'm actually a content provider myself. Have been since 2007.

I'll answer your questions point by point:

Anyone has any recommendation of the article writer services.

Well, good freelance sites where you can find passable to great writers include getafreelancer.com and odesk.com. While elance is more secure, these other two marketplaces have more affordable people. These two I'm recommending are the sites where Asian online workers go look for clients. I'd recommend Filipino writers more, because they have a better grasp of International culture. Plus, there are more writers who have a better grasp of the English language and can give you great content at a great price.

If you want to make use of the services of content writers who have a proven track record, there are Bay Area web content writers who are available to work with you.The Content Annex is a very reliable content providing group, and I've worked with them personally before. They take care of their clients really well, and they do use state of the art technologies to maintain their business.

What information should I provide for them to write an article?

I believe, for good measure, better provide the 5 W's and H:

    Who
    What
    Where
    When
    How
    Why

If you're looking to outsource web articles, you'd need to provide:

    Keywords
    Wordcount
    Keyword Density

As well. You could also specify the style of writing you want. Most writers default to the blog style, which is more informal and could allow for using sentences that are in the first person voice. However, if you're looking to write an eBook, look for writers who could write well in a more structured, more formal tone of voice. This is the tricky part; there are a hundred to a hundred thousand writers who could write blog-style, and in passable English. There are about one in ten who could give you scot-free work. Not to sell these guys' work, but The Content Annex does give you above par writers.

What research should I do before look for an article writer?

Research is part of their job. Unless you want to take full control of the work, then you'd want to provide them background research. If you just want to point them to the way you want them to go, you may send them your rough notes of your ideas, links to articles you're using as your inspiration, or basically just try to communicate what you expect and what you want out of the articles they'll provide you. Researching for them would defeat the purpose of why you hired them in the first place. Though, on second thought, that'd make them happy...

What would be the fair charges for a quality article?

I'd say around $5 for a 500-word piece. It's cheap, man. For people who pay writers $2.50 for 500 words, shame on you. We need to eat too.

How many words of article consider a normal blog article?

Around 400 to 600 words. 1000 might not get read to the end by your readers. Remember that Internet readers have the attention span of a... Well, not exactly, but close... To a gnat. XD

How frequent the IMers getting articles from article writer?

It really depends on what you can agree with, from your article writer. You could ask for a daily turnaround, or a weekly turnaround, it's up to you. But for the people who expect 12 blog posts in a day x 6 days a week and pay a writer $300 a month, shame on you. That just sucks. The sane amount of articles I can personally churn out is around 4 500-word articles in a day. 8 would make me puke. 12 would make me scream bloody murder on my client. :p

    Hope this helps.
