Apparently . . . I've been running a scam

An affiliate has told me

"I am e-mailing you to let you know, I would like my
account closed. I can't find any place on the website to
do that. I'm closing my account because I am tired of all
the scams on the Internet including this one"

When I asked why he thought it was a scam he said

"In my opinion it's a scam, as far as I'm concerned
all this kind of electronic stuff is a scheme".

Harvey

PS. Maybe a bit more effort was needed
In 14 months he managed to get a total of 16 hits.

    It wasn't me, honest

BUT I can understand why some people feel this way when the marketer has hyped things up so much in the copy - which 90% of marketers do imho.

    Harvey,

Let it roll right off, dude. I get this too, and when I check to see what happened, I see they didn't even submit a single article - or maybe one. LOL

You don't need that kind of clientel anyway! They skew your client success ratio. Better to just have the folks who give it an honest effort...you know, the ones who actually can have success.

Let it roll, scammer! - uh, umm...I mean...brother!

I'm "amused" when some numpty enters their e-mail address incorrectly into the system and then comes screaming blue murder at our helpdesk as to why he hasn't had his product etc.

When we carefully explain that his e-mail address is probably dave@gmail.com not dave@gemail.com, the "you're a bunch of scammers" rapidly turns into deathly silence.

I mean obviously we created a huge website, helpdesk, team of affiliates, products, free give aways, videos integrated it into Clickbank , all so we could scam you out of your $39!

      Hey Rod

I just had to laugh as I have met a whole bunch of people who think "if its an online business or anything to do money making and online is a scam". Funny how more and more people are shopping online, even those that say online business is a scam.

Sadly...there are many scams out there. You just need to get thick skin and deal with any problems the best you can. I was in the auto repair business for 18yrs before going full time IM in 2007. I can relate, auto repair business has a bad rap.
It is important that you believe in your product and stand behind it as well....

Win some lose some, I have learnt that you just cannot please them all, just show these people all the success others have acheived under your guidance.

Unfortunately a few out there do just not realise that it takes a little bit of effort to build an online business and that's when they start shouting ''scam scam''! haha

Here's the thing: A lot of Internet marketers take bits and pieces of other people's product, squeeze them together, and call it a new product. I refer to these products as head cheese... you know, like the pork-based lunch meat made of snouts, ears, tongue, eye lids, and lips .

Harvey, come clean! You're not selling digital head cheese are you? If so, 16 hits in a year may not be too bad .

Seriously, I've got a number of your product Harv, and they ain't no head cheese--they're all prime rib!

    Sigh.

All this talk of "electronic scams" is having a detrimental on doing business on the internet. It seems trust is at an all time low.

I'm glad you have confessed to being a "scammer". Hopefully you will report to your local jail immediately.

That way hard working, honest Nigerian princes like myself can continue to transfer great amounts of money to people all over the world.

That is after all what the internet is really for - helping people.

"Once in a while", some people misjudged, even if you are sure you have a legitimate online business and you are practicing it legitimately.

Ok so it's only one person but next time, deal with negative people with style by leaving a message for him to think about, or link him to another site concerning online legitimacy. If his mind is closed, never mind. At least you showed you cared and tried to educate him.
