How Are You Using Facebook?

Since Facebook allows only one account per person are you using your account as a marketing tool or as a personal account? Or trying to do both?

Do you add anyone that asks to be your friend or just people you know?

Well you can have a fan page, that will take care of the 500 friend limit. However, the best way I have found to use facebook, is to connect with my subscribers on a deeper level. I'll give you an example,

Say, I notice that someones birthday is coming up. Now, I want to stand out, from everybody else wishing them a happy birthday, so what I would do is create a short, 1 to 2 min video wishing them a happy birthday and wishing them well.

That way, I stand out from everyone else, and builds the relationship with that person. Social media sites are just that, social sites, so just be social.

Is Facebook a good way of attracting business, i have an account that is just for business, i have connected with 700 like minded people up to now but have done nothing with it, is there people that have success using Facebook, or is it just another place to get your links out, cheers, mick.

Its a place for both, i have made sales off face book and also promoted some non profit stuff, the trick is try keep links to affiliate products to a minimum i find this works best for conversions, post motivational comments etc every hour and people will look out for your posts then every few days recomend a product and people will usually buy it i average 4-5 sales its not bad for a link post :-)

You can have a personal account, and add several pages under that account to represent your business so you can easily do both.
I have a friend who has over 2000 friends and asked her how she got so many. She said she spends time looking at groups that interest her, joins those and finds people on those groups that look interesting and invites them to be her friend. I thought it was very cool, and she has made a ton of real new friends this way. You could do the same for your business.
I almost always accept to be friends with those who ask if we have mutual friends.
