Hey guys,

I went to edit an article at ezinearticles today and it looks like they made a cool new change to the way they handle that. My original article wasn't taken down this time, but instead they left it up and my changed article was 'temporary' and will now overwrite the original when it is accepted.

Anyone else notice this change?

It's about time. I specifically avoid editing my articles because I don't want them down.

That's a good change. I won't quite say "awesome", because they should have been doing it this way the whole time, IMHO.

At any rate, I'm glad they are now doing it this way and, apparently, reducing approval time.

    All the best,

    Awesome!

I lost a ton of articles because I needed to change where I was sending the traffic. After editing my articles they wouldn't accept a ton of them..

    This is great news!

Thanks for the heads up. I've always been very hesitant to make any edits and now this will certainly get me motivated to edit some of my older articles from when I had no idea what I was doing...

      Cheers,

I know what you mean. I have articles with 1,000 plus views a month
from back in my "what the #%@% was I doing stage" that are going to
        nowhere.

Now I gotta figure how to monetize them and get some sites up.

        Thanks Chris...you done good.

Maybe they've widen their staff? Either way, it's
a nice thing to hear after all those "I hate ezinearticles"
    threads.

Great they're finally doing this, it's a shame they took so long to implement this feature, less article down time is great a thing and means we won't miss out on all that traffic for days while waiting for re-approval.

    Good move EZA.

Thats fantastic and when you come to think about it it's kind of odd it was never thought of before now lol. Great new featured I always hated taking down my original article and making changes cuz it meant it would be down for a few days. Many times I forced myself just to write a new one because I hated this fact so much. KUDOS TO EZA

That's going to make some things much easier now...

Running some test articles linked to temp sites and then swapping it over to the permanent url.

If you change the URL in the resource box on an article that has already been indexed, do you need to do anything to get Google to notice the new link?

I had loads of articles that I needed to change the website url and just did not want to go through the hassle. This is a great change. EZA is the premiere article directory and must keep up with the newest technology so that authors can easily modify, update or change their articles.

I kept getting an error notice stated that my email was bouncing. I could not figure out what they were talking about. Getting a response from EZA is also another issue. EZA is maturing just as other businesses online. They will get it all right eventually. But they are almost the only game in town until that changes, authors will just have to deal with their changes, delays and the price.

Noticed this as well. Pretty nice if you have old articles up and you want to send the links to a new URL without losing the page rank you've built up over time.

In my experience Google will reindex older articles after a few weeks without doing anything

Yeah this is AWESOME now you can re-optimize an article without worrying about it being offline when it gets crawled.
