Ok... So I was wondering why some products that have members areas, have products that a member can get for free... Does the product creator gain a direct incentive or is it just an extra perk for buyers???

Perceived value, JV deals, affiliate commissions, you name it.

Mostly though, when you see a product loaded with unannounced bonuses, it is because they are trying to make you feel like you got your monies worth by loading their site up with a bunch of free junk.

They are basically sweetening the pot, so it gives the customer the feeling of getting more brilliant content for free, so is a tactic to increase the chances of them buying.

Hence, is a tactic which can increase conversions. (which has been tested to work )

Because we like like it Almost everyone likes to offer, because we are the same people which will get benefited by others.

Just a word of warning: if you want to offer people bonuses, for whatever reason, try to make sure that they are related to your product AND that they are actually worth something.

Giving people a load of bonuses that have no real value will actually devalue to product you are selling.

They cross promote with other people, so it brings in extra traffic.

For me, it's an extra perk for my buyers, and it isn't junk. My bonuses have always added value to the offer. Filling it up with junk bonuses is just counterproductive.

That being said, no amount of great bonuses will make up for a crappy product. Offer a quality product and a few quality bonuses and you've got a winning combination.

The best thing about bonuses is that it gives your buyers a real understanding that you are reputable, can offer value, and helps you to build a list. It helps you build a reputation with your customers and helps them to really feel like money spent is going to a cause that's going to further their business

Bottom line - EVERYONE loves an amazing deal!

I've actually purchased products that were so-so or just bad, but the bonuses are what kept me from requesting a refund.

Always over deliver and you'll be rewarded

    Everybody loves freebies >

Just use caution if you decide to give away PLR as a freebie: while it may be tempting to use the first PLR you find on Google, it's the same ol' s**t that's already all over the Internet. Personally I only ever make use of PLR material from the WSO section, or else create the content yourself.

What others have said, plus it can help the members to save more. I am part of a membership site for over 2 years now. Many times I found products there that I wanted to buy. It worked as direct savings. Even if I didn't use the main product (information unique to that membership site), it would still be worth it.

Having said that, I don't think one should join a membership site for getting free products. I certainly didn't. Just trying to illustrate a point. And this type of products add value when the products are selected carefully rather than putting up random products.

    Just my .02 cents.
