    It could be. No one can really answer that for you. I have a developers licenses for several themes and they've been worth every penny in features and support.

    Many theme developers will allow you to purchase an individual license and later upgrade to the developer's license. In this way you could setup a sample site or get familiar with the template and then purchase the developers license after you are paid by your client.

    I have a developer's license for the StudioPress Premium WordPress Themes themes and for about that same price you have access to all their themes and full support.

    If you can make money off of what your are buying, then it is a good deal. Look at it as an investment for your business.

    There could always be cheaper options available to you, you just need to make sure you get what you need.

    It depends on if you plan to only use the theme for yourself or if you plan to build websites for clients or flip sites built with the theme.

    I wouldn't think you would need the developers license for personal use unless you got extra features and support with it.

    If you plan to make a business out of selling the sites built with the theme to others then $250 is cheap for a dev license.

    If you love the theme and plan on being a developer (flipping/selling sites). I've paid more than that for a developer license for some themes and I've bought quite a few developer licenses. Got a fortune tied up in great themes.
