How do you make $2000 in a week as a "not so newbie"

8 replies
Similar questions have been discussed in the past, but I think answers were in many instances not very related to the original idea and rather diverged in comments such as "no you can't" or "top marketing guy XYZ made $XXX,XXX in his last product launch so it's a matter of replicating that process".

So, for a not-so-newbie (knows IM jargon, has basic knowledge across IM subfields and may have earned a few dollars here and there but nothing steady) what do you reckon is the surest way to go to earn $2000 in a week's time? I chose $2000 because, if it's a rinse-and-repeat process, those who apply it may be able to quit their day jobs (a dream of many). It's alright if the process/method requires some learning, as long as it doesn't take several months. You should be able to implement it in the near future (couple of weeks to a month, ideally).

So what are your takes fellow Warriors?

    Hi There!

    Another post like yours (but asking for a LOT more ) has popped up recently.

    I think that a good way to start is right here on the WSO board. WSOs, in my experience convert better than ANY minisite, and they can get you a list quickly. I dont think you can make 2K in your first week on WSOs alone, but you can certainly start building it up. A Good product, with a good number of reviews, and some awesome bonuses really can make thousands of dollars in a week.

    Build a list and promote your offers to it, and you can be selling hundreds of copies daily.

    My advice - don't focus on the short term $$ - focus on actually BUILDING an online business. Take the time, build your list carefully, get to know your list, and success will follow.

    Of course like Mubarak says a good WSO goes a long way, will help you with your list, and build your credibility - quality above all else!

      Pick anything in IM, master it, understand it and you will make 2k a week.

        Thank you for your replies guys.

        @Mubarak, great point, wasn't aware of it, although in general WSOs are original product creations, right? Maybe, for the not-so-newbie, creating a product from scratch would still be more complicated than other strategies. What's your view on this?

        @all, the idea of this post was also to distinguish methods that may take longer to figure out, implement, and obtain profits from (such as authority or membership sites) from others (even if the latter showed lower conversions or returns, as long as they allowed to break the $2000/week mark).

    I have had great success selling Internet Marketing Systems to Individuals and Retail Businesses. You can very easily have $2,000 plus weeks all the time. Been with my company since 2007 and it works. Large percentage is online but now branching out to retail businesses.

    Don't be so scared of getting your own products out there. It's a bit of work (hey, what isn't) but its a much better long term business strategy. You'll have a piece of internet real estate that is much more sound than a review site that relies on SEO, and can be sold later if you want.

    Sure, your first few products will almost certainly suck and not make a cent but that's all part of it. Once you get a system down it's not hard to get a few sales a month - then you can just keep growing it with new sites and building an empire.

    Soon enough you'll be pretty good and can release a blueprint for newbies about how you did it

    Not really a method for making money, but a suggestion what to do once you've made some money.

    When you have some success with say, WSO sales, unless there's no way you're going to get fed otherwise, do NOT use the WSO money for personal stuff. Save that money, and later reinvest into your IM endeavors: you can use that money to outsource content, etc., to get another stream of income set up fairly quickly. Lather, rinse, repeat.

    @Aith, as is stated in the original post (in other words, though), the idea is to focus on shorter-term methods profitable enough to allow not-so-newbies to achieve a large enough regular income so that they could eventually leave their day jobs and concentrate full-time in IM.

    So, recapping,
    * shorter-term (2 weeks to a month, preferably)
    * profitable enough ($2000/week)
    * can be escalated/repeated

    PD: Releasing our own products is an excellent idea, nevertheless.

    @moneysoapbox, excellent point, reinvesting is key to growth.
