Is there a secret to getting people to digg your stories. I never get anyone to digg my stories and I have a lot of interesting stories. However, I only have 17 friends is that a problem?

Well one major way is actually getting a digg with good keywords. If you can rank in search engines (which you will if you find a good keyword) do it. It'll get you a nice conversion of diggs on your own profile. I haven't started this exact method, but I do know that digg's rank very high. Heck sometimes they rank higher than my sites.

sometimes people use various methods to raise their number of diggs, and almost all in this area know about such methods. And sometimes it depends on the type of story that automatically get digged by the people due to its nature or time.

The secret is that there are many people under a single Digg account and if anyone of them stumbles up on a good story, he can automatically submit it to the account. The account has to be active with a lot of friends, because if you share the story with friends many of them automatically digg it without even reading.

Although it may be difficult to get your story "dugg" from Digg itself,
there are other ways to get your stories Dugg.

I'll list a few below that have worked for me:

      * using your digg link when you post your story to Twitter
      * using your digg link to redirect to a webpage - see my fan page link below (it has 10 diggs)
      * using your digg link when talking about your story on your blog
      * using your digg link when you share a video with your friends or subscribers
      * using your digg link when you post on your facebook profile or fan page
      * using your digg link when linking to any of your content (HINT: You should Digg ALL of your content)
      * submitting your digg link to other social bookmarking sites (not sure if that is allowed though, so don't do anything I say until you read their TOS)

So just be more creative about it.

My Facebook Fanpage was Dugg 10 times (which is my highest) and it's because it's
right there in my fan page visitor's faces when they visit my fan page from my
      jasondinnerfanpage.com url.

      Hope this helps

        Thanks man,

Those were some good tips. I have put a couple links I wanted dugg in my signature at sitepoint since they use noFollow and also a lot of people will see them.

Never thought about digging my facebook fan page either.

I have noticed that the different buttons work differently. We did have regular digg button on our site which is the small square digg logo basically and we never did get any of our articles digged. Now, two days ago I changed the regular digg button to digg this button, that is the one that shows the number on it how many times the story has been digged and it started working right away. Now I did change other social networking buttons around as well for the ones that show the number count on it.
Just go to our article directory, choose an article and scroll down the page, there is a selection of buttons, then you can see which ones I mean.

Also I have noticed that Add This type of buttons does not worked very well, They are nice and small and lot of websites used them and so did I, but I think individual buttons work better as they stand out more and are right there ready for clicking.

I looked at your sites in your signature, anyway you can install the digg this button right next to or below tweet this button.

Yeah, I have been messing with it. I need to put in on my articles on my reporting scam site. If you look under the articles you will see some of them. However, I want to put them on all my stories too. I want them up by the title of the articles so people will be more inclined to click them. What do you think?

Your Online Scam Website is really good, it has lot of good articles there, you should have no problem getting some digg's for them as I would digg some of them myself once you get the button sorted.

I Have noticed that most websites have put the button at the beginning of the story or an article or next to the title as you said. I did put mine at the bottom of the page as I thought that lot of people do not bother to scroll back up as they finish reading the article. I do not honestly know where would be the best place to put them.

Maybe somebody else has more knowledge about it.

Awesome, yeah just got into digg and it is awesome. I am adding new content to the articles and stuff too. Try to provide people with really good content, because content is king. I have been auto doing my digg links on my twitter account have have already been getting diggs which is pretty cool.

I will let you know when I get it up. If you click on my twitter link you will see how I am linking them to my digg post
