You need to take into account a number of factors. The price tag, are there upsales and does the affiliate get anything, marketing effort required, what is the competition doing...

The percentage is going to be higher than you want. Good marketers aren't going to do it for cheap. On the basis that any digital product (I consider this a digital product whether it is on a physical support or not...) usually requires more effort to sell than to make, usually over half of the revenue is consecrated to sales and marketing. And a big slice of that will go to whomever brings in the client. New customer acquisition is the most valuable business service on offer, and you need to be prepared to pay accordingly.

You may not like this, but marketing/selling is the most important thing.

So many great products exist, but without marketing you never hear of them.

If you want to expand more quickly then don't hesitate in giving away at least 50% (at least in the shorterm).

Aim to make your money on the backend.

    Consider...

The average Clickbank percentage is 50 - 75% and the marketer covers his expenses.

If they cover the expenses I would do it for a maximum 50%.

Exactly! When we market for others they cover expenses and we get 50%.
