PLEASE!! Suggest me a domain name.

Oh my god!!

Finding a domain is really tough. I just ended wasting 2 hours brainstorming a few quality domains, and guess what - all were taken.

At last, I ask you to help me.

Please suggest an available domain related to blogging niche. I need to to be short, sweet, pronounceable, and brandable .com. Bonus for me if it has "Blog" in it.

Please consider the fact that I want to build a business, not a website.

Here's a list a few domains I brainstormed, so you get the picture of the type of domains I like:

Blogster
blogcoach
blogburst
blogology
blogosphere

I need a domain that's a mix of two words and sounds like one word. Like examples above.

For reference on the type of site I will develop, please have a look at this site.

It would be better if you could PM me the domains.

Thanks
K

Good one, but I looking for a domain that looks like a single word. Something like I'd posted as examples.

You should be aware that asking people to post a potential domain name here on the forum is a crap shoot at best.

Generally the good names posted will be scarfed up before you get a chance to register them. There are exceptions, but that is rare.

There are a lot of lurkers here that will see those names and try to register them.

See if you can get folks to send their suggestions to you privately. That way the competition for those names drops dramatically.

      Just food for thought...

you may also consider to have numbers to make it look different. if you are focussing only a few particular niches, then you try giving that too into domain name.

I agree with Joe, for once :p

I see it many times, people ask for suggestions or feedback on prospective names, post them and a few minutes later someone has pinched them, what you have to remember is that at any one time several hundred people could be reading this topic...

Once you have spent $10 on your name then ask whether it was a good buy

But I do personally like blogology, it is easy to remember and works well

I agree you don't have a .com to rank. It's not set in stone!

What the hell is a bliggity?

If people are not searching for something it makes for a fairly useless domain name until the brand is established, which could take many months...especially when it is awkward to spell and makes no rhyme nor reason.

Bliggity is like an old school rap phrasing of the word blog. Or I guess there was hot diggity dog before that.

If you're looking for targetable keywords, do you have a list of phrases you're targeting so we can give you more of the kind of names you're looking for?

Are you running your domain ideas through a service that gives you alternate options? like:

Domain name generator: create, generate, check, query and register domain names

    Domain Search - BustAName

    There are others.

Why do you think this was time wasted?

I have probably spend a few hundred hours in the last year or two figuring out and getting good domain names.

It can be time very well spent if you push through.

How about karangoel.com? Brand yourself and people will remember your domain.

    Edit: Domain taken (.net?)

    I hear you.
Finding a good dot com domain these days is like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Although the dot com is not essential i still prefer it over the other TLD's.

Especially hard when we don't have a clue what it will be used for...is it tech, baby, personal, your little black book of phone numbers, scores you give to women based on their athletic prowess?

In order to give any kind of help at all we need to know this most basic of information

That was the first thing that popped into my mind when I decided to buy my first domain name in July 2009. Unfortunately, only .in was available.

If you think of a name and it is taken don't get upset - This is actually good - you see that it is popular and you start looking for alternatives. Make sure you search in bulk and then look for where people have taken the .net .info but someone has let the .com expire recently. Then take that.

Searching for a domain name is brainstorming and part of the process it is not a waste of time. Consider it an opportunity for research.

There are some great ideas here but ultimately you are going to have to decide what you want in the domain and what you want it to convey.

We could go on spewing domain ideas forever but we have no personal stake in the matter...like mentioned earlier it can take many hours to come up with a domain that works but then you know you have found it and that is the right one.
