WTH Aweber undeliverables

Anyone know what the hell is up with Aweber and gmail / yahoo accounts? Is there some special spam setting in yahoo and gmail that maybe people are activating and that rejects emails only for some people?

Asking this to people here that may use yahoo and gmail all the time..I use real pop mail accounts... so I am just curious if anyone that does use gmail and yahoo know of a setting people may be activating to make aweber emails not get delivered. I mean they used to get delivered to yahoo bulk mail folder at least.

But there are always a few that no matter what seem to never get the emails and the one common denominator is that they always seem to be on a yahoo or gmail accounts... and it is getting irritating as hell.

Yes. In Yahoo and hotmail (not sure of gmail) we can create filters and make the incoming email be deleted/pushed to spam folder/divert to a specific folders.

Are there some kind of default filters that people can apply for instance...a low/medium/high spam threshold? That doesn't take any particulars into account? Just a default intensity for considering spam/not spam?

No. But some sort of the filtering will be done by hotmail and yahoo in the background and some email will be automatically pushed into spam folder.

The exact terminology that Aweber uses to get their emails delivered in their header is getting them blocked by a lot of gmail users .

Aweber promotes the fact that they use double opt in in their header . They call themselves by name in their default header .

While I don't know of a universal default filter for gmail, all you need to do is name a filter aweber and everything they send can be rerouted to either a spam folder, trash folder or even auto-deleted from the system .

  • Exactly why I use yahoo. Once I'm tired of a promo I just send it off into oblivion. Yahoo Spam filters work well. They also automatically kill some mail. I have sent mail to friends using Yahoo and they never get it. It can also be delayed for a very long time.

    This is NOT Aweber's fault.

Not that I'm aware of on either service. Though I think both can be trained if something gets the spam button enough it just starts auto spamming or maybe even not delivering them all together. I'm not positive on that though.

Well they say they don't get them at all in spam folder/bulk folder etc... So I am assuming for some reason that about 5 out of every 100 yahoo/gmail accounts they have something set up wrong...or played with some settings somewhere. It is pretty irritating when you are delivering through email.
