Images/pictures for my blog

I wish to get some images/pictures to support my blog article.

Can I get the images from Google images search or other web pages and post it to my blog? Will I violate any copyright to use those images?

or maybe someone can share with me what is your normal practice to get images for your own web site? Any copyright-free images can be recommended?

Hiya,

if you do a quick search in this forum you'd find plenty of sources that provide links to affordable, royalty free stock images.

You can pick up some decent images for around $1 a piece and you don't run the risk of violating copyright either as these images were created for the express purpose of being used for such things as websites and blogs, etc.

Yes.

The normal practice is buying - as in investing in your business
Except the "public domain" images there isn't really anything "copyright-free".

You can find images royalty free. Meaning you pay just once, not the millions times the images is viewed...

Depending on the subject of your blog you could use your Digital camera or cell phone to take your own pictures. They may not be the highest quality but taking your own pictures might lend credibility to your blog.
