No, I'd never recommend copying text from someone else without their permission. The best thing would be to find a variety of sites (research) and then create your website with a variety of information you've found.

Think about this: copying from one source is plagarism, copying from multiple sources is research. Just an idea so you don't copy anybody's stuff exactly but you can use it to get some ideas of your own.

Agreed with Jenn and scrofford. If you want to copy somebody else's material, will you cry "Foul" if somebody else does the same to yours? :p

NEVER copy someone else's copy! That can get you into big trouble! If your idea is somewhat similar, use your idea without using that person's copy as a model. Pretend you never saw it. Your idea will still be unique if you create it yourself.

Ezine articles is a website to submit articles to. Your articles are then on a high quality site so it has a better chance of ranking higher in google.

People use ezine articles to gain backlinks to their website (which helps their site rank higher in google. The articles can also drive traffic to your site from including backlinks in the resource box - which appears at the bottom of the article.

When it comes to unique content you can use Copyscape Plagiarism Checker - Duplicate Content Detection Software The paid version costs 5 cents per search but it will show you exactly which text has been copied. All you have to do is copy and paste your whole article into the copyscape search.

IMPORTANT: Recently ezine articles has cracked down on their quality of content. I have had unique articles written and sometimes ezine does not allow me to submit it because it is too similar to other ezine articles.

There are plenty of other article submission sites though.

All your articles need to be unique but many people do that by rewriting, or mixing articles together. Just make sure you check the result in copyscape.com

        I hope this helps

I am also suggesting you to don't copy any thing from others Data. Because it will harm you in future in different ways.

My elder bro told me don't use unfair means because at the end you will loose your reputation.

I agree with all of the posts above. Copying even "just a little bit" from a website could not only make it very hard for you to get indexed and rank, but also lowers your credibility.

If you're sending an email to a list, it's okay to use the tools that your affiliate program gives you. However, do not copy!

If you absolutely cannot come up with your own content, find content from a variety of different sources and spin it. If you're not keen on spending money, you could settle for a free article spinner. Just google it (normally I provide links, but the majority of them require creating an account, so I don't want to post the links here).

No ... that would not be fine. That is copyright infringement. The owner of the site can easily find copies of his site and issue a DMCA take down notice to your host.

EZineArticles is just an article directory. It's a way to get your writing out into the SERP's.
It is similair to Squidoo, except just for articles. It's also a way to build backlinks, and help others :].

Hey Noob just a thought on your first question:

Certainly don't copy direct - but why not take that info and put your own spin on it.

    Same principles - different dialogue....

Nothing is new under the sun - regardless of whether someone tells you its 100% original...someone has done it or very close to it and written it before...

So just write it man...dont get too hung up about 'plagurising'...so long as you dont just copy...you'll be fine

    The exact same copy? No.

A rewritten one? Maybe, but it'd be against my better judgement.

Something freshly written targeting a "psychograph subset" of the market? Maybe, but that won't be all I believe, so I'd possibly need to...

...add tips from unique angles about covered topics which can further enhance benefits of using the products? Yes, and...

...share my own experience in using the products and highlight new possible benefits which can be gained by people with different needs? Yes.

You can publish your unique site content on EZine and other article directories (except Buzzle and a few others) even if it's already published on your site, just remember to use the same name as the author name on those article directories.

What do you gain from doing this?

    1) When people use search engines to find information relevant to their needs, published articles on EZine and others will most likely rank higher as relevant results than content pages of your "new" site.

IMPORTANT Note: I suggest you do your own research, conduct your own tests and analyze results. These are based on my own research, tests and results, which means = this is what I believe and NOT what others believe nor something close to a "universal" truth.

If they see your published articles on EZine or others, then they'd possibly read it (depends on your title = should be attention-grabbing and your description = enticing).

If they read your articles, then they will most likely see your bio box (depends on 2/3 article body = must provide new and relevant useful/helpful info/advice that's interesting/entertaining to read and the last 1/3 of it = should provoke curiosity for more new useful info/advice).

If they read your bio box, then they'd possibly click your links and be taken to your site's content pages (depends on your bio box = must make them think that clicking those links would mean = "the search is over" for them since they'll be taken to the solutions to their problems).

If they read your site's content pages, then you'll most likely make a sale (depends on your content pages = must provide new useful/helpful info/advice enhancing the info/advice they got from reading your EZine articles and a section with your affiliate links which should make them believe clicking those links and buying those products = the final step to improve their lives, ease their worries and burden, end their pain and suffering, solve their pesky problems, etc.).

    2) Improve the search engine ranking of your content pages for your target keywords, which means more target traffic for your site.

IMPORTANT Note: I suggest you do your own research, conduct your own tests and analyze results. These are based on my own research, tests and results, which means = this is what I believe and NOT what others believe nor something close to a "universal" truth.

    What is dofollow and nofollow?

A dofollow site has an HTML tag which allows SE spiders to go to external (or internal) pages pointed by links on the site.

A nofollow site has an HTML tag which doesn't allow SE spiders to go to external (or internal) pages pointed by links on the site.

What is a dofollow backlink and a nofollow backlink?

A dofollow backlink is a vote that's counted by search engine spiders.

A nofollow backlink is a vote that's disregarded by search engine spiders. However, it's a link which human readers can see and click.

    What is a backlink?

A backlink is a vote. It's a vote for the linked site by the site where the backlink stands.

    What's the vote for?

The anchor of the backlink is the niche/subniche/topic/subtopic. The site where the backlink stands is voting for the linked site as a site with relevant and useful info/advice about topics covered by the niche/subniche/topic/subtopic.

...but they probably use a voting system similar to the US federal voting system: the reputation of the voter dictates the weight of the vote (in the US federal voting system, I think different states also have different vote weight).

This leads me to think: more votes from highly reputable voters in relevant niches supported by a lot of votes from highly reputable voters in irrelevant niches = search engine ranking improvement for your site.

I also believe, based on my own research, testing and results: reputation = PR, which is probably a function of a lot of factors like domain age, number of backlinks, etc.

    3) Widen your articles and site's exposure to your target market.

IMPORTANT Note: I suggest you do your own research, conduct your own tests and analyze results. These are based on my own research, tests and results, which means = this is what I believe and NOT what others believe nor something close to a "universal" truth.

Aside from more of your target market going to different search engine results after using your target keywords on SEs, there's this thing called content syndication.

Article directories have hundreds to thousands of members who syndicate content.

Members can take content published on these article directories and post it on their sites, following content syndication requirements of the article directory where they took the content from, of course.

So, if a lot of members syndicate your content, complete with your bio box, then more people would be able to read your articles and possibly click those links on your bio box.

Your question earlier was: can you take published content from EZine or from other article directories and publish it on your site?

Yes. You can read about the steps and requirements for doing this on those article directories.
