Automatic approval with clickbank?

Hi all,

just a quick clickbank question, that I thought I would ask here because I know it would take at least until Wednesday for clickbank to get back to me.

I already have a product that I sell on click bank that I have been selling there for about a year and a half.

I am in the process of setting up a new product to sell and when I added it to my clickbank account page, it came up with "Approved" straight away.

This surprised me as I needed to jump through hoops for my first product to get the sales page approved.

So my question is...

If you already have one product on clickbank that is approved does that automatically mean that you are approved for any other products without them having to do the whole, check your sales page thing?

I'm not sure -- maybe CB made this recent update as it's a really "lazy" way to get products aproved my their staff.

When did you notice this by the way?

Why care? You got your product approved and ready to go. What difference does it make how it happened?

Last time I added a new product... oh, about 7 months ago, it was instantly approved. I think as long as your links all work properly and they are titled correctly, then CB doesn't care. I expected them to come back later and tell me there was a problem, but they didn't. Perhaps they only care when you first open an account and launch a product.

PS: it's also possible they have automated approvals - so the system automatically scans your pages to make sure everything is there (or not, ie: other pay options) to meet their guidelines.

They turned off automatic approval the last time they increased by price, but when I asked them to re-enable it, they did... just email clickbank support.

The reason this was a shock as well was because I don't actually have a product yet created. I was just playing around with DL Guard and have set it up with my current product but wasn't sure how to test it.

So I thought I would create a new product (there is not even a sales page yet, I have just put the DL Guard recommended page) in clickbank and test it and if there are any problems then I know they there will be problems with my other product and I will know exactly where, without having to buy the product myself.

I know there is a test button in clickbank, but I was afraid that it might mess up my approval or something...

Anyway, I think I will delete the phantom new product for now because if they do check it they will see that it doesn't exist.

Anyone know how to test if DL Guard is working on an already existing product, in a way that won't mess up my sales, if someone is just about to buy it when I am testing?

Hmm... I might have to email Sam.
