Helping affiliates directly?

I've been looking at the whole clickbank thing, and a lot of the sites are badly designed, even when the product is good.

I was wondering what people think of the idea of using my design skills to help affiliates?

So say I find a good product which offers good commission, but seems to be failing on account of its lousy website, (or doing well despite the lousy design) - then I sign up as an affiliate, and contact the vendor directly and offer to improve the design of their site for free.

Could this be worthwhile?

    That's an interesting concept.

I would imagine you would study the site before you approach an owner. Some may take offense to the proposition (although it would seem logical to know improvements could be made).

I would check Clickbank's TOS to make sure you would not violate their agreement.

It would be interested to know how this works out for you.

    Best of luck--
