Questions on Site Flipping

I'm aware of ways of setting up blogs and other related content stuff that goes with the site management but when it comes to selling the site to another owner it made some technical and non-technical questions in my mind. If you can answer them that will help me a lot.

1. How to transfer wordpress site from my host (say from Xyz host) to buyers host ? (I want to know that what i need to do for that transfer, your experience on that one will be helpful as well).

2. Other than transferring site data, how to transfer domain to buyer ? (i would like to know what you did for transfer with your registrar).

3. Domain+data are stuff to be shipped but when it comes to bidding what data do i need to show to buyers in order to increase bidding ?

These 3 questions that i have in my mind. Your answers to these questions are much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I've updated my Flip Ace product to include very detailed instructions on how to do this with many screenshots.

But I've also created that portion of the ebook as a standalone ebook that I'm giving away here on the Warrior Forum for free.

You can download it at http://flipace.com/transfer.pdf

Now, to transfer a domain, the buyer will need to have an account with the registrar that the domain is registered at. Each registrar should have a help section to tell you how to transfer a domain. If the buyer has an account there, it makes it pretty simple to do.

When you list, add as many details as possible. Upload plenty of attachments, such as referrers, traffic stats, keywords, revenue if any, etc. List all of the site's assets, such as a matching Twitter page with followers, a list, etc. It is a lot easier to sell a site that already has revenue, so if you can make it earn, that's more profitable for you.

Make sure there are ads in place. People want to see how you would monetize the site.

      Hello mate,

In addition to what sbucciarel has laid out for you, include a list of bonuses the buyer will get if they "Buy It Now" from you. Such as:

      • The free site transfer
      • Free hosting for a certain amount of time via your reseller account
      • Customer support after the sale
      • Additional free unique content
      • Or whatever else you can think of relating to the niche...e.g. A simple squidoo lense to compliment the site.
Don't forget to mention WHY you are selling the site. The more info you have, the better.

By the way, you want to check out sbucciarel's flipace, it's an incredible course.

      Good luck.

Godaddy makes it easy to push the domain into a new account.

Just get the new owners Godaddy user ID and email address and push it. Simple and done as soon as they accept it.
