You can certainly try it...I've seen many people do that. I haven't done it myself exactly like that but I do have a lot of blogs that I have not purchased a domain for and I still get traffic, so its definitely possible.

It will work if you do the usual work to ping and bookmark etc.
However, if it's going to be your main earner it's best to own the domain and hosting so that you have more control over your own income source.
Start with Blogger, use Squidoo and Hubpages to link to it and then when you've made a bit of cash to afford it get a suitable domain and some regular hosting set up. The Blogger site can then direct traffic to the new site and you can add more support sites to increase your traffic flow.
Realise this is broadbrush but it's a basic principle.

You can certainly make money with a blogger blog, I know people who do. But I would take John's advice and get your own domain and hosting as soon as possible. It really isn't that expensive.

      thanks John..
Im quite New in the IM world
but what do you mean about "It will work if you do the usual work to ping and bookmark etc."

bookmark is that the same as favorites? sorry im quite new... learning the loops...

and I have a question about squidoo... I just went to the their website for the 1st time yesterday...browse and burn my eyebrows on the web... they have what is called "Lens" that's the same thing as blogging right with a different term?
can you help me how does it work... I have read it... but quite confused...I have read also that you can make money on lenses ? Is that the same as having like a Blogsite...the only difference I can see is that on blogger you will have your own blogsite like a mini website...for squidoo your blogs i mean lenses are still on the "squidoo" page?
      Im confused... pls help...

you also said about "Start with Blogger, use Squidoo and Hubpages to link to it" If im not mistaken this is like a "Webring" that loops back and fort right ?

Pls tell me if im on the right track?

      thanks for the posts...

Squidoo lenses are similar to blogger blogs, they just aren't blogs. No categories by dates. Both are really easy and free. Some bloggers and squidoo lenses are making a very nice chunk of change.

While you have a subdomain for both, have the bar at top for both, and it may not look professional it's definitely possible to make money on both blogger and squidoo.

Just don't slap up crap, put some quality in there and get traffic. It can definitely be done and I'd recommend it to people to get started, experiment, and test out IM and blogging.

I use Blogger to "test the waters" but at the end of the day, anything I consider worth investing my time in gets its own self hosted WordPress blog. It's not as expensive or as difficult as some make it out to be.

Yes, you can use free web hosting or free blogs to promote and make sales. However, if you are going to use free hosting or a free blog. I would recommend using freehostia.com. They allow you to have a fully functional blog, with no ads, plus you get 6GB of host, with 250MB of free space.

Probably one of the best free hosting services I have ever seen. A very long time ago, I used them as my starter blogging.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to just "advertise" in blogs. You just have to put your affiliate links in to get your credit. Also, make sure other blog sites allow you to put links in. Some won't let you until you have established yourself on their site. If you sign up at different blog sites, be sure to keep track somehow of which sites are making you sales. Clickbank will track that for you if you add a tracker ID to the end of your redirection link. One other thing is to post also in forums with your link in your signature. Keep in mind that most sites want you to actually contribute to the community in the form of discussion regularly. They frown on you just coming in and saying "go here". Hope this helps you. And you WILL succeed! Go for it!

You can definitely make some green with a blog.

Hosted of Free? There are benefits to both, I have (and still do) use a mix...it's all how it ties into your business plan.

They key is to create unique & interesting content that engages the reader (and is on topic of course).

Build up trust and a bit of a following, then slowly introduce recommended products and try to tie in a good story or push their emotional hot buttons.

If you try coming out of the gate with "yer-sellin-guns-a-blazin" you could in for a long up hill battle...
