Why are my clickbank sales fluctuating so much? And in such high order?

Hi guys,my clickbank sales have been fluctuating really weirdly lately...

I mean , in the begging of the year I was making a good $600+ for the first 2 weeks of the year..Now it's all the way down to liek 200 dollars and then now for the next paycheck even lower, at like 120!!!

I mean, is this normal at all?

And if so, am I doing anything wrong at all??

Is there anything that I could check that can alleviate the problem?

These sales are mainly for my own products.

Thanks guys!!

Neville

I would consider updating your sales pages, as well as promote ALOT more. Usually the "first week hype" dies down.

Sounds like you may be using article marketing as your primary method of marketing. Articles have a tendency to rank higher in the beginning and over time fall down the rankings.

Also, when others write a new article on your topic they can replace yours in the search engines.

It depends.. if you are getting search engine traffic, have you research the keyword volume.. Some keywords get plenty of search volume, but it just depends on the time of the year.. It will never be a consistent number.. what country is your search volume coming from?? there are a lot of different factors... I suggest you dig deeper on where and who is your traffic coming from

It depends on the time, your product is suitable for all time, then you can expect average sales in a month.

Analyze the period while you were making $600+ compare the trends in that time and the period $200 were making by you. Why the downstairs of the trend, what was the skip of your product? What new topic or niche has distracted to the user from your topic.

Find answers for these questions, definitely you can get back your $600+ very soon.
    Try it.

My gut reaction is that your sinking in the SERPs as someone already mentioned.

    But other questions could be:

    - Is it a seasonal product?
    - Did you start promoting the product early in it's 'life cycle' when there was hype and chatter around it that has now died?
    - Has a newer better product come out?

And it might be worth checking if your visitors to the sales page have dropped. If they haven't -was the sales page changed?

All worth brain storming and working out how to 'bullet proof' yourself.

I've noticed the same thing with my adsense and clickbank sales. The numbers fluctuate all over the place and you can't expect the average number to always come up. I sorta noticed a dry spell in my clickbank sales about 2 months ago.
