  • I've heard about this promotion, it's the real deal. I'm sure it's getting them a lot of signups too.

    They probably got a great deal on a bulk purchase of these and they're taking a hit on them so they can make it up later with their services. I think it's a great idea, and might even sign up myself.

  • I took a look and it seems like a good deal.

    They have a 59.99 per month plan with 5GB monthly allowance. Is that a lot for someone like me who spends hours online each day? do you think this would be enough? There was no higher plan than this.

    • They are simply trying to FINALLY tell the TRUTH! That is the SAME plan they, and many others, said was unlimited. LEGALLY, unlimited means UNLIMITED, and I guess people were calling them on it.

      Still, 5GB IS a lot if you don't download a lot, watch videos, etc... And realize that 10GB over 2 months is NOT the same as 5GB over one month, unless you use no more than 5GB a month. There is NO "rollover".

      Still, if they had this plan 3 years ago, I would have jumped on it. I bought a netbook, and have their EVDO service.(UNLIMITED, AKA 5GB)

    Someone with the nickname "TheDebtEliminator" promoting a product that you purchase effectively by getting into debt (the 2 year contract).

    I am working as Verizon DSL technical support and everyday, I am receiving calls from people who need help setting-up their wireless connection in their new mini notebook...

    But I think I will fire Verizon before 2010 ends and focus on IM..
  • That's a pretty cool promotion. I just got a netbook for my birthday (a little early lol) but that's a really nice deal. Esp. with the wireless internet (which I'm totally confused just how it works because it's hard to understand the details on these provider sites but that's another thread...)

    One thing to remember about some of the little HP netbooks is they have the mouse buttons on the sides of the mouse instead of at the bottom. It's a little akward so keep that in mind if "different" things like that tend to drive you crazy. I might learn to deal with it for thirty bucks though, lol.
  • This seems good for those who mainly use their computers for work and casual stuff. I occasionally use mine for gaming and entertainment things, so I would prefer a computer with crazy specs.

    Hopefully a few online ventures will help me to upgrade my laptop in 2010!
