WSO's copywriting, how do you do it?

I was just curious about, how do you, fellow warriors who post WSOs, manage the creation your WSO's copy?

    Manage or write?

I write mine from the heart myself using speech recognition software. I also use lot's of graphics to illustrate

What I found most effective for me has been the conversational tone, a little bit of humor, a little bit of hype and a very good call to action.

One thing you might should do would be to spend a good bit of time in the WSO section and check out the some of the more popular WSO's. Read their sales letters, take some notes and get an idea of how to proceed with your own copy.

WSO copy is COMPLETELY different to normal website copy.

Normal site copy is all about psychology, convincing, etc.

WSOs are EXPECTED to be great - I think it's reviews that help the most really., as well as a thorough breakdown of what's involved in the course.

As IMers, we've developed, in my opinion, a natural immunity to sles copy tactics, so I steer clear of them in my WSOs. Just write, as Brad says, from the heart, and let em know what's in your course. If they need it, they'll buy it.

Well, sounds like you've been hanging around the gossip forums

The WSO board does have some crap, but it is, in my opinion, a forum full of goodies.

Every WSO I've bought has been worth more than I paid for it. It's also saved me a lot of cash.

      Absolutely.

      These are your FRIENDS.

Do you really need to sell your friends? Of course not. You just have to tell them what you've got. If they want it, they'll buy it.

IMO, the major thing you need is justification, not of your price, but of your WSO: "Here is why I am offering this to my friends."

    I don't bother...

I just say - this is what I have. This is why I created it. This is how much it is - here's where to buy it.

I've even been known to just have a very short description and a buy button

I think shorter copy works fine the WSO section. It obviously needs something to create those emotional buttons and urgency ... and I always scroll through the buyers to see what their comments are (ignoring the positive comments from the people who have only skimmed and not really read the piece).

And YOUR reputation as a product creator helps (any though if the reviews are good - I don't really care who you are once the product does what it's sold for).

I haven't ran a WSO for a long long time. I don't believe in selling something unless its high quality and not rehashed.

But when I do run a WSO, the copy is straight off the top of my head and usually written in less than 10 minutes. I find that if you really believe in what you're selling and know it inside out, then the words just come natural to you. I've had success with this 'method', and personally wouldn't do it any other way.
