Domain Name Auction purchase??

I am currently studying the Commission Blue Print 2.0 course, in it, it states in one section that you should try to include include your keyword name in your domain name. Then in another section on domain name auction purchases, it never mentions bidding only on domains that is in your niche or much less, has the keyword in the domain name. Am I missing something? Or do I just try and buy a domain with a decent PR and find a niche that relates to that domain name? I am not understanding the purpose of just bidding and buying domain names with PR if they don't relate to your niche, or is it that I should only get names that will relate to my niche but just not have specific keyword in the domain name. Sorry , but I am a newbie as you can probably tell.

From my experience having the keyword in the domain is very helpful for SEO purposes, but it takes work and time to see any high search engine results. The best thing is the keyword in the domain and that's it.

But if you buy A domain with authority you can still get alot of traffic by having killer content and links from authority websites and blog related to your niche. I bought A domain that didn't have the keyword in the domain name and I made A blog and went out and build links and put A ton of content on my blog all related and I'm seeing very good traffic.

I highly recommend content over getting alot of links, because if your content is good people will link to your blog naturally and that not only saves you time but it gives you authority in the search engines.

And one last thing, blog commenting really helps for building links but even more effective for links is going to authority websites and creating profiles and putting your link in the website back office or blog posts. Just my 2 cents

Thank! I appreciate the reply. I need all the help that I can get. I have assembled most of the most popular "pay for " tools, especially those recommended by the CB2.0 course. I will be trying to begin my start by the 1st of March hopefully. I am currently going over the course for the 2nd time trying to hone in the concepts, but this is foreign to me even though I work as a in the I.T field.
