Adsense is PPC based program, and because you have a youtube downloading site you can monetize it with some (PAY PER VIEW/PAY PER IMPRESSION/PAY PER POPUP) and other. You can also offer some CPA program.

    Hi,

First your plan is very good, there is plenty of option to monetize your youtube download video site. Every one is giving this option as free of cost, with out a membership panel. Anyway your customer come and use your site freely, why can't u use them to earn money.

Make a membership page, allow user to register to access the downloading free facility, after registration confirm their email address. In the every user page you can display adsense, and setup CPA offers(zip code or email submit offers) because every time he comes and see how many video has been downloaded by him.

Make a invite friend link - this will make a quick vast membership with flood of traffic to your site. every one eagerly searching a better site to download youtube video, so this is your chance to get started.

    Cheers

My guess would be a site that let's you input a url for a youtube video and download it as a file to your own pc. There are a bunch of them out there. For example this one: KeepVid: Download and save any video from Youtube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, iFilm and more!

They haven't contacted me and I haven't seen any decrease in the number of sites. Also I found the best method for monetizing - Pay Per Download.

I think the OP was talking about having his own site. Yeah, you can't run content unlockers inside youtube.com

There are websites that allow you to type a youtube video url , then they send you a downloadable movie file. Some sites, like music lyric sites or mp3 download sites use content unlockers a lot because it's free. The user is obviously a freebie seeker so why make them pull out a credit card... Just fill out this little survey and you'll reach the download page ...

Are they charging for the downloads? If so, give it time. They will be gone.

The wheels of justice move very slowly sometimes.

Is it legal for you to take one of my videos from youtube, and charge other people for the download? No. If someone wants my video, they need to approach me for it. Not to mention, I have no idea what they might do with the materials after they have taken them.

How would you feel if someone took your videos and was selling people to download them?

          Use common sense.

You are on your way to some lawsuits, even if you don't see them right away.

Um, obviously you didn't read my post properly. I said I get paid when someone downloads the FLV PLAYER. Not the video.

Read carefully before replying to avoid embarrassment.

But you are making it possible for people to download the videos, correct?

              BTW, I don't embarrass easily.

Yes but you were under the impression that i charged for every download.

Until some sites start shutting down then I'm not going to worry.

Just know - I am one of those annoying people who actually started a lawsuit against someone who was involved in some illegal web activity and we have a class action suit that is going to bankrupt the person involved.

Not the wisest thing to think you won't have to pay back any money you might make.

And your intentions of offering free downloads of materials you don't own is completely illegal - whether you are charging for it or not.

                  Hope you enjoy wearing stripes.

haha ive made like 30 bucks lol.

why would i take it down when there are million dollar sites doing the same thing not having any trouble?

and if you like doing that sort of thing why don't you start a law suit against them if you think what they're doing is so wrong.

I use firefox plugin to download the flv or mp4 from an almost all video sites. If downloading video is illegal then why do this thing still exist? Besides everytime a video is streamed to your pc it is "downloaded".

Freshmaker, I like that idea of yours. Hahaha.

Is that so? Why don't you post the link to your site then I will report it to Youtube and your CPA company so we can see what happens?

To be fair Chris, we don't have all the details of his youtube site. He may have permission to allow downloads of the videos he is offering.

It all boils down to international copyright laws.

I too would like to see reference to his site.

On the download site they are referencing (keepvid.com), that site actually seeks out promo vids that may be looking for additional advertising and have given permission.

This really seems to be something that will get a bit more messy before it truly gets resolved.

Either way, I think creating this kind of site is building your business out of a house of cards.

Too much competition, is something you can find free anywhere and on top it might not be legal.

CPA surveys work best for YouTube sites...but you better have a lot of content and a lot of traffic because making money on it is not so trivial - too much competition.
