Just Joined the War Room

I just joined the War Room, and now I have no clue where to start . I want to get the most out of it, and I am not sure of this is the right area to post this, but can someone please point me in the right direction?

P.S. I am terribly sorry if this is the wrong area to post this (I saw that my thread asking about the War Room is now gone )

It all depends where you want to go today, is your area building sites, flipping or finding niches?

    By the way, welcome

Thank you for the welcome This is the problem; I am a newbie, so I don't know what I want/need to learn right now! Information overload. I hear it is very very common for newbies

You can start by taking this Martini I just made for you, grab a thread and get cozy in a chair.

If you don't know what you are looking for specifically, just take a little time to browse in the first few pages.

If you use the search feature here on the forum, you can select to just search specifically within the war room for your topic of interest.

JBird, you could do a lot worse than spending an hour or two browsing here:

        http://www.warriorforum.com/my-ideas-strategies-plans/

In this first pass, all you want to do is read bits and pieces. Listen to your gut, and it will tell you when something resonates with you. Once you find one or more of those, then it's time to do some more in-depth reading and see if the method, etc. still rings your chimes.

If you try to take it all in at once, it's like trying to sip a drink from a fire hose...

I felt the same when I joined, massively overwhelmed. Pay attention to the rules, read the stickies and be prepared to spend a week reading. Just don't go buying every IM product and going bust in your first month. There is a lifetime of knowledge on these forums which have kickstarted many a career including mine. Welcome and Best of Luck.

JBird, I sent you a PM, but for everyone else, here is the way I do it:

Here's the real trick to using the War Room.

Always enter with a plan. Have you already picked a method you wish to use for your internet business?

If you are going to work with Article Marketing, then go into the War Room and ONLY look for items on Article Marketing, be blind to everything else.

If you are wanting to head into CPA, then look for CPA guides, and again, turn a blind eye to everything else.

Once you start on working on a process, you will run into problems. Example: I'm not getting any traffic.

Then you head back to the War Room and look only for guides on how to solve traffic generation issues.

If you do not narrow your focus while using the War Room, you will become lost in information very quickly.

Two more pieces of advice. First, When you see something interesting you think might help you, take the time to check out the author's profile and some of their posts in the regular forum. This will help you determine if you feel you can trust them or not.

(The second piece was for JBird only...)
