Hello All,

I just finished reading this post about a WF member integrating PayPal into the free version of MemberWing: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ndW15clGcQodtC . However, this post was in 2008, and I'm wondering if there's been some accessibility changes to the free version of the plugin.

I currently have the free plugin installed in one of my blogs, and I see where it has PayPal integration disabled for the free version. My question is, is it at all possible to integrate PayPal into the free MemberWing plugin, or must I purchase the entire MemberWing application in order to use it? I'm just doing a trial run to test how well MemberWing will work for a 100-200 member site, so I'm trying not to spend any money until I know what really works.

What is the difference between this and the paid version? I see the affiliate part, but what else?

Hi John,
Roughly:
MemberWing: Support for ejunkie, clickbank, 2CO.
MemberWing-X: Ability to sell articles/pages individually and/or by subscription, unlimited membership levels, flexible naming (not only gold/platinum), integrated affiliate network with instant payment capability. Paypal only for now.

Eventually X will inherit everything from current MW.

OK Gleb,

Very Nice. I am going to test it on a spare blog I have.

One more question. Since it works with PayPal, does it have a test function for SandBox? I have gotten spoiled.

Yes, utmost attention was paid to enable sandbox in MWX. Just check a checkbox - and everything goes through sandbox. You may even check purchase referred by affiliate and "sandbox" affiliate account will be created with "sandbox" purchase credited to him.

The short answer is "definitely yes"

  I have recently purchased MemberWing Premium and currently testing it out. Noticed the Beta of MWx and am so insanely keen to be able to implement the affiliate portion. In fact I also bought RAP in order to integrate it precisely for this purpose, but as I am pressed for time before my product launch I'm having to use e junkie as a stop gap. (Have no time to dig in my heels and set up RAP on my own *nod to GlobalPro here*!)
  
  Am I right in assuming then from above that the Beta will not allow the affiliate program to activate? Or can I download it and actually use it now?
  
  And as a MW premium owner will I be entitled to this new X version as an upgrade?

If you already have RAP, then MW integration is simple and you have the afiliate program with RAP already. The set up works very well.

Hi Natalie,
Beta is fully functional and you may start using affiliate portion of it as well. There are no functional limitations in beta, but the fact that it is "beta" and functional changes might happen before general availability release.
As an owner of Pro MemberWing license you will be getting MWX license that will allow you to get rid of sponsored/branding backlinks and be entitled for priority support.

As John said with MW purchase you also got RAP integration module - so you have freedom to use either. I know - too much choices in life could get confusing sometimes

  MemberWing-X is in the late beta testing stages and used on live sites already.

  Get and try it with WPMU, it might just work! I am not officially into it yet - Wordpress will be merging soon WPMU and WP in one piece - so I have to watch these developments...
