Hello everyone, I am rather new to the internet marketing scene here. I have had a blog for about a year now but that was simply for fun and wasn't aware of what could be done in terms of earning money on the internet.

So here is my main dilemma:

I have joined this fabulous community and forum and am hit with a wealth of knowledge and advice, but a lot of the terms and jargin are way over my head. Mainly all the acronyms being thrown around.

I know to you guys its all common knowledge by now and you can decipher them all with a glance, but if somebody could maybe compile a list of acronyms and what they stand for this would be a giant help to me.

Thank you kindly,

Sam

There's a web dictionary available from ABCsOnTheNet - Your Internet Dictionary

    Treat it like algebra.

"One of the things I've been using is FXL - it makes my life a lot easier, because it's so much smaller than a normal video, and you barely even notice the quality difference on the audio if all you have is voice."

    So what is FXL, exactly?

    - It's smaller than a normal video... so it must be a kind of video.
    - There's a quality difference on audio... so it must be a type of storage.

So now you know that FXL is a type of video storage. And since it has three letters, you can guess that it's probably a file extension. So there's probably some program out there that saves *.fxl files, and those files are smaller than normal videos but have lower audio quality.

Or you could just ask Swerve to Google it for you.

(That was cruel. I apologise for that.)

Two ways to find out more on an internet marketing term..

    1. Google "what is keyword" where keyword is the term you are unsure of
    2. Do an advanced search here on the warriorforum, search titles only and search in the main internet marketing forum only - this will give you a good list of threads on the specified term

I don't think there is a specific Internet Marketing dictionary available. Try to think of it more as a learning process. Maybe spend a day or two reading through the forum to get yourself familiarized with the lingo.

Another suggestion would be to go to the blog Problogger, scroll down to "Popular at Problogger" in the middle of the page, then hit the tab for beginners. There are a few great introductory posts for newbies.
