Need your advice on Traffic Exchange

Hi, I am trying free ways to gain some traffic to my new site and I would like to try out some new things like Traffic Exchange. But, however, does traffic exchange works?

This is what I noticed:
I registered a FREE account, surf for free credit (tedious), use the credit to advertise my own website.

I think probably many people wouldn't interested in surfing at all, they are just interested in the free credits. So, if I advertise, also no one will appreciate it

Hence, do you think traffic exchange works? I sincerely need your advise

Hi my friend... It works, but mostly only when done in large volume, like thousands of credits assigned each day. I am a member of a certain downline builder, and by working as a team (650 persons) we generate around 15 new members a day. You can imagine if you have to do it yourself, the results will be not as good. However, I combine it... I load some sites into the TE exchange that I want to get subscribers from, AND I load the main downline building site I spoke earlier about. So while I doing my "duty" to collect free credits by surfing the TE sites for the main downline builder, I also collect free credits at the same time for my own personal revenue generating site. Two in one.

Furthermore you have to do TE "powerbrowsing" which is.... using Firefox, signing up for free with top TE sites, like 10 of them. Then you just keep clicking, starting from tab 1 to tab 10 and do this over and over again. That way you generate quite a lot of free credits. You can assign the credits percentage wise... so if you have only one site to promote... use 100% auto assign. If you have two sites, you can use 50/50 auto assign... or whatever you want. Always check if the credits are actually assigned becasue sometimes you have to do this manually, even you set the auto assign!

Traffic exchanges are tough. As you already know most people surfing are surfing to earn credits to display their ad. So they really aren't interested in the offers.

Also manual surfing takes a lot of time.

You can make money out of TEs. I do because I stubbornly believe anything can be monetized.

First of all I buy credits most sites sell this dirt cheap. Then I promote very low entry price products that would appeal to TE users. These products are either "how to spend less time surfing" products or "don't waste your time surfing" because these guys want an easy and cheap / free way to advertise....so that is what I offer them.

I know that for every $1 of credit I purchase I'll get about $1.70 back. Which is an OK return for an automated method.

The traffic has very low conversions, they aren't very responsive to advertising because they are there to promote their own products.

For 99% (or more) of TE users it is a total waste of time. Some will disagree of course.

If you want to use them:
    - Sign up for TrafficHoopla and advertise that in the TEs, it helps build referral users in all your exchanges and you get some extra credits plus some commissions on upgrades.
    - Use a tabbed browser and download Quick Tab Change or similar software. It sets up a 'hot key' so you can switch between tabs faster.
    - Surf as many exchanges as you can at the same time, by the time you get through to the end of the tabs the first site's counter should have expired (POWERSURFING).
    - Buy credits if you can afford to.
    - Upgrade in one or two exchanges that will display your site free elsewhere for example Hit 2 Hit will show your site on 30 other exchanges.

And finally do not expect a lot to happen quickly.

I don't recommend using them really but those are some tips if you do want to use them.

    Cheers,

    Jonathan

Hi, thanks for your fast response. The website only allows me to surf 50 pages and it forbids me to continue surfing for the same day.

So, it works only for large volume? If me, one person working alone I guess it will takes forever to get 1 member. I think I shouldn't waste time sitting down and surf for free credits, I should try other methods.

    Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for the reply. I personally thinks that it won't really work for me at all and time is precious too, unless I buy credits and aggressively advertise my advertisement.

I really have to find other ways to get traffic.

Traffic exchanges a great way to build a list and make money. But just like every traffic making method on the web article marketing, blogging etc you need to learn and train yourself what is the most effective.

Traffic exchanges are most effective via splash pages and squeeze pages. DO NOT promote full page sales pages you wont get any results. As a traffic exchange owner myself I know they work its how I started making my living online.

I believe the key is to focus your efforts with a few traffic generation techniques and find out what works for you and you are comfortable spending your time doing. Some people like to write articles or post to a blog. Others like clicking ads and viewing other peoples sites all day to get credits which in turn generate traffic. Honestly clicking ads to me is a waste of time when there are New More Advanced Technologies to Drive Traffic. And Yes Many of them are still free to use.

traffic exchanges can work for you, but you have to know something.
You will spend a lot of time, and you have to promote a sqeeze page or lead capture page to get the email of your new subscriber.
And you have to try to build a team in the traffic exchanges to earn more credits.

Traffic Exchanges do work, but they need a lot of time and effort.

Spending that time on other promotional methods such as ad swapping and submitting articles may be more productive.

I do agree you have to do in large volumes in Traffic Exchanges and
yes it is tedious but it works! However, you still have to have a solid plan
like do article marketing, posting on forums which on your niche, posting on
Facebook, twitter, youtube etc to get your desired results.

Once you've got some sales, try to advertise on WSO, or warrior classified
or any niche forums that have a marketplace etc...

    Hopes that help

Simple question is: Do you care about the sites what you see when you are surfing to get credits that others would visit your site?

Traffic exchanges aren't totally useless, but they only work if you sell something about im niche, then newbies who have been sent to surf by some program they got into might get into your list, because they are not seeing results with what they are currenty doing and if your splash page can make them excited they opt in hoping that you provide them big red button to push that will send $10 000 to their back account daily.

Over all there are much more effective things you can do to get traffic-quality traffic- to your website.

Best to avoid them completely. Most surfers do not bother reading the page....they are just interested in getting their click rate up. Also none of this traffic is targetted.

My advice on traffic exchanges is that if you do decide to use them,
don't waste more than 10 minutes a day maintaining your accounts.

In other words, make sure your ads are still displaying and track your
results to see if you can make any tweaks to improve your response.

But DO NOT waste your time surfing to earn credits.

Upgrade your membership so you can get XXXXX amount of credits per
month or per day or whatever credit package they offer within your budget.

To be honest, the time, energy, and effort you spend (or waste) on Traffic Exchanges
can be much better spent on other more profitable traffic generation techniques.

Well I agree to most of the views that TE are complete waste of time. But there is one TE I know, which is designed to work.

    It is trafficswarm
Here you can drive targeted traffic and there are cheat links to keep checks.

But I do receive feedback from other section of the forum saying it really works by TE method; and it's free membership too, it is called Your-Profit-Funnel works. So far my reviews is located at my blog.

I've had a little bit of success with traffic exchanges. They're not the best way to use your time since most people who use TE are like yourself-- they're more interested in getting traffic than buy stuff. Certain kinds of sites work better than others, e.g. ones that appeal to people looking for traffic.

I have heard they can be decent for building up an Email list, but I have personally not tried that. As far as getting paying customers you would have more luck winning the mega millions its a total waste of time as far as I am concerned. Most people on traffic exchanges are on there to get traffic to their websites, or affiliate links.

My point is they do not in general have much money to spend on advertising that is why they are surfing on that particular traffic exchange. In my early days of INTERNET MARKETING I spent some time on traffic exchanges, was not a good move on my part. Traffic is very poor, and doesn't convert into sales. There are way better more productive ways to spend your time. Try!

    Article marketing
    blog commenting
forum posts like here for example
    Social Media
    Youtube Videos
    Write Free Classifieds

Anything is better than A Traffic Exchange, save your time.... Concentrate on things that really work!
