is there a tool that will flush all of the unfollows with out without manual labor?

    Not tried it myself, but It seems like it's what your lokking for..

    Hi guys

    there are many different programs about for mass unfollows but twitter has banned them all under their new terms and conditions and if you use any of them you will be instantly suspended.

    Mass unfollow seems a tad harsh - would you like to be swept away like that. Also what will those left think about it if they saw your account change so dramatically. Twitter is about building relationships and not mass anything.

    Use Humming bird2 you can let the program run automatically and it mimics what a user would do when adding and removing followers.

        Twitter karma no longer allows this

        Buzzom still has it. It's not a one click rids all though, but I would still consider it a mass unfollow tool. I assume it goes by twitters policy though the way they do it. It's a pretty largely popular site so it's not like it's under Twitters radar. I'd still be cautious with it though.

        Twitter Karma disabled the mass unfollow tool due to Twitters policy in January.

        I personally use Hot Twitter Spy but even though it can do all of this, I look to build a relationship and do not do the mass follow thing so mass unfollow is unnecessary.

        I also like seesmic desktop. It's a fun tool to use and see people talk about subjects you are interested in.

        Why follow 20,000 people when only a few will read or are interested in what you have to say? Look for others who have similar interest and post with good searchable keywords or retweet to build interest in your field.

        Too many people have been led to believe that twitter is a great advertising tool and really it is more frustrating than profitable for most.

        Build yourself a good linkedin profile and the money will follow.

        Look at the potential with facebook which is thousands more popular than twitter.

        Just a bit of what I've come to understand...

    You can do it semi-manually with many of these tools (removing followers individually), but you cannot do a Mass Unfollow where you just hit one button to get rid of everyone. Twitter has recently come down hard on this issue, and ANY program/tool that you find out there that still claims to be able to do this would be doing so in direct violation of Twitter's terms and conditions.

    Use 'mass unfollow' tools with caution. When picking an unfollow tool, make sure it has the following characteristics that comply with Twitter's TOS:

    * Shows candidates to unfollow (rather than auto-unfollow everyone)

    * Allows unfollow with an upper bound on the number of users to unfollow (e.g. 50 - not more)

    * Has a reasonable wait time between the unfollows

    * Is aware of who you unfollowed already before following them again (this is something that most desktop/windows-based follower tools without a database will not be able to do for you)

    * if using the Twitter API, respect Twitter's API rate limits (e.g. 150 calls / hour)

    A violation of any of the above can result in a suspension/termination of the Twitter account(s) in question.

      My tool has that feature, however I constantly advise against it. Twitter is cracking down on the unfollow stuff because like others here have said, it looks bad. Mass unfollowing is a quick way to get your account terminated. I would strongly advise against it.

        I have a product. almost everything you ever needed in twitter marketing. Mass unfollowing, mass following, tweet scraper, reply generator, tweet auto posting and scheduling with socialoomph integration.

        Many of the requests are done using a web browser so it appears very natural and LESS POSSIBILITY OF GETTING YOUR ACCOUNT BANNED.

        Just following and unfollowing no longer work as it is before. You need to have more contents and interactions now.
