Register & Keep Track of Domains

Hi Julie.

Two registrars I can recommend to look up are Moniker and NameCheap. Ask
them as many questions as you desire, no matter how silly they may appear,
though I'm sure many members here will also vouch for them.

No downtime should occur when transferring domain names among registrars.
Transferring among them is both an automated and manual process, but you
can get the hang of it.

Prior to transferring, make sure the domain name's paid and unlocked, and its
email address is correct. If you need to maybe switch your domain's website,
I suggest doing that before or after the domain transfer as no changes of any
kind will be allowed during that period.

After that, start the process with the gaining registrar and confirm with them.
They'll eventually notify eNom regarding this, and it can take anywhere from
5 to 7 days for the whole thing to finish.

Be aware that each registrar has their own process of doing this. If need be,
ask eNom how to unlock and all, and ask the gaining registrar how to initiate
and confirm the transfer with them.

On the side, I just read that eNom is rather "slow" when it comes to allowing
domain names to be transferred out. Just be patient.

Namecheap is good,but if your a person that may need support, I don't recommend them.But as long as you just need the basics,ie register the name and set the DNS, you should be ok.
