question to all dropshippers..

I successfully sold a laptop by using a dropshipping website and ebay. And on the sale I made a nice $200 profit. However, the problem is that I had expected to receive the money through ebay instantly and then be able to place the order and pocket the difference. I didn't know that paypal puts a hold on it until I send them the tracking information.

So I decided to go through with the order anyway and I received a tracking number and a confirmation that the order was placed..but once the payment method came up I just went back to the home page of the website. I used the tracking number that I received and sent it to paypal in hopes that they will release my funds so that I can pay for the order and pocket the difference.

Does anyone know if that works? If I had known before that you needed to have the money first I wouldn't have tried to sell it but in my mind it made sense that I could just use the payment money to make the order and pocket the difference.

    You must be a new seller on ebay? I suppose it all depends on the price of the laptop. When you begin selling with paypal there are a restrictions. I can't remember what the barriers were but eventually you pass it. You should have a business account with paypal so this doesn't happen. The payment should pass through to your account within 21 days if there is no complaint.

    Best thing to do is get on the phone to paypal, they will tell you exactly whats needed to get the payment through! Dropshipping in theory you don't pay until after you make the sale, however with new paypal accounts you can be limited.

    You need to send them a screenshot of the tracking code and the company it will be delivered with.

    Dear Gclunis ebay and paypal have a new policy, and that policy is that you have to have a total of 15 feed backs and 3 or 4 sold items with a postive feed back and then paypal with start paying you instantly. I don't know how many feed backs you have but you can get around that. This is what you do, buy some items that range from .01 cents .99 cent. These items are in the form of ebooks and you can get a feed back in less than one day, you must have a feedback of 10 to use the BUY IT NOW OPTION, AND 30 FEEDBACK TO RUN A DUTCH AUCTION once you get this you should be well on your way.     that is why you need money to tide you over.. you can not expect you get paid instantly and use that fund to pay your supplier.. pull some money from your credit card for the financing?

    what you are doing works.. a lot of stores and shops offer affiliates wholesale price and drop ship..why not..
